Tuesday's Champions League action

European Football
comment on the article

Evening all.

The clocks have gone forward, signalling not only that those lovely long summer evenings will be soon upon us but also that we are entering that crucial stage of the season christened 'Squeaky Bum Time' by Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

His boys are in action in Italy tonight, in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Roma, while the night's other tie sees underdogs Schalke 04 take on an out of sorts Barcelona.

Anything could happen - and you will find out here first when it does.

Keep up with the action here: news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foo...

Arsenal's amazing 10-man comeback against Bolton will spur a young team to victory; but although it is a fellow Premier league side as competition, this is Europe and experience usually comes out better, they'll need to keep their heads cool if they want to repeat the San Siro win

Arsenal's ten-man comeback against Bolton amazing? Hang on,... BOLTON?? What can be said about a team who are 2-0 up against a full strength Gunners team, who get an advantage when the Gunners lose a man to a red card (admittedly a bit of a soft decision), and still lose by three goals to their two?? This is a team that is self-destructing.

Was Arsenal very, very good, or Bolton simply awful, overall? Let's see Arsenal do that against Man U or Chelsea (though it's easy to go ahead and hold it, if you're Arsenal, who, we know, are last-minute specialists). Third place this year for the Gooners1
