Definately want him to sign a new deal here, may be a possible replacement as captain once Neville packs it in which, going on how many injuries he's had recently, may be sooner then we think although he does show good signs of not getting injured again soon

Why would Rio want to go anywhere else, anyway? With players like Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Anderson, Nani ( and that's just some of the younger ones) around him, why move? The current Squad is arguably the best we've ever had. Can you imagine the sinking feeling for any player leaving Old Trafford?

Yes give him a new deal, SAF will treat him just like Giggs, Scholes, Neville. A good deal until he's 31 ish, then reviewed yearly, why change things for RIO when its works.
He's been a good player for the team but no one should be over paid. (John Terry) would not have go his deal with any other club and we all know that. Wait and see what LAMPARD EXPECTS, BUT DOES NOT GET IN ITALY from the "special one" it won't be close to what he gets now, so he won't go.

If Rio is worth £350k per week and Brown only £50k, does that mean that Rio is 3 times as good?

erm, no that would make him 7 times as good winkeye

really good news that rio wants to end his career at united. most consistent performer in the side, tie him, evra and brown down to new contracts a.s.a.p. definetly should be england captain, deserved his chance, and certainty to be next united skipper. hopefully he will progress the younger talent through such as pique and evans, both seem to be good young players. i feel maybe in the summer we need to get shot of fletcher and saha, bring in a fresh, quality striker such as berbatov or huntelaar.

Rio Ferdinand is one of the greatest english defenders in the game. He's been great for club & country. Him staying at Man U for the rest of the career is good news for them, unless he has a falling out with fergie then hes gone.

Ok typo error I meant 3 x 50 = £150.

Got nmy shifts and numbers in wrong order.

Point is still valid - is Rio 3 times better than Wes Brown.
