When in Rome.....

European Football Manchester United

...do as the Romans do, or so the saying goes.

I just hope our travelling fans do not take this literally and lower themselves to the level of the Ultra's and the game passes off without incident off the pitch.

I cannot see Rome beating United on the pitch however and I hope their over zealous Police do not beat us on the terraces again.

I am unusually confident for an away European game and have a feeling similar to the treble year where I cannot see us getting beaten by anyone.

With this squad we can keep the midfield fresh by changing personnel, without losing quality and hopefully Rooney will hit a purple patch through til the end of the season with his goals on Saturday.

I will take a 1-1 draw like we got in Lyon, but I would not be surprised if we win either 2 or 3-1.

Your thoughts??

The current Pope Benny in Rome, issued an edict from the Vatican earlier today. The former ex-Hitler youth Joseph Rat-Finger, issued the edict through his religious correspondent Muriel McVicar, that no catholics were to travel from either celtic or Ireland to attend tonights match or they would be excommunicated.

Vatican scholars in Rome are incensed, that this current stream of Irish and Celtic football fans supporting Manu, are similar to Judas Iscariot. The spokeswoman Ms McVicar said "I speak for the Holy See, the guardians of the Roman faith, so know ye to trust us on this one and another thing, stay away corruption questions to Senor Capello, a respectable Italian, so called because his fathers name was also Capello, or you peasants will be a sleeping with da fishes."

OK so maybe I was slightly off in my prediction. Well done on a very solid performance. Ronaldo - I don't think there's much left to say, without a doubt the best player in the world this season.
