If someone...

Could explain to me, 1) How Reading's goalkeeper didnt get sent off for rugby tackling Ryan Nelsen, and 2) How it is, we have more yellow cards then them when their have been some trully horrid tackles coming in on David Dunn. It would be very much appreciated...

Edit: Jinx, love it when that happens. Reading player just sent off...

COME ON ROVERS!!!

On reflection - a great 0-0 draw, full of incident and excitement as so many Royals games have been.
Both sides had fantastic chances to have won - thank goodness Rovers didnt win from the ridiculous '5 offside' incident.
Bikey and Hanneman were top men for Royals - bentley was the most likely player on the pitch to make something happen, but only after moving away from Shorey from whom he got no joy.
Dunn was easily my most annoying player - constantly trying to wind up the Reading players and back chatting the ref - I've a feeling that it was his sniping at the ref before and at half-time that caused an about turn in his (the ref's) attitude. No way was that a game worthy of so many bookings and a sending off

Nelsen actually kicked the ball out of the goalies hands and nearly got aay with it.I think if it had been the other way round we would have been baying for blood to.
We did not win the game due to the reasons Bently highlighted recently when he stated that we don't dominate teams and our football doesn't seem to flow as he would expect given the level of skill in the side.I just hope we can sign Bradley and Forfan as we definately need to make some decent shots on target especially from midfield where Pederson, Reid and to a lesser extent Dunn don't get enougth telling shots on target for the forwards to feed off.

Regarding the free kicks, Watford and Sheff Utd both caught us out last year because they knew that we did it. In Both instances they blocked one of the defenders from getting out,

don't worry yourself gareth, the guy is a spanner who has NO idea what playing football is all about. Just try to ignore him...

I was at the game and thought a draw was a fair result. The jmatch was very flat in the first half and not that much better in the second half. Hughes needs to tell Bentley to stay on the right hand side of midfield. He spent almost the entire 1st half wondering in the centre leavin Ooijer all alone out wide. Its all very well coming in field with possession but Hughesy really needs to tell him to keep his shape, especially at 0-0 away from home when he doesn't have the ball. Plus i got a good look at pedersen in the second half as he was right in front of my and the guy had a bit of a mare. He had a number of chances to put in good crosses and failed every time. He just can't beat a man!

I agree JG. I was at the game aswell, and when Bentley drifted in field, we had nothing to offer on the right without Emerton. Nothing against Oojer, he had a steady game, but attacking certainly isn't his strong point.

The second half was a bit different, because Bentley seemed to have a free role when they went down to 10 men. We kept picking out Pedersen in acres of space...only for him to whip it onto a defender's head or pull it back to no one. So frustrating, he looked dangerous until it came to the final ball

Has to be said the ref ruined the game with some poor decisions, espeically the Matiovski sending off, I dont even think it was warrented a yellow. I know it was a 2nd booking but it wasnt a yellow offence, especially when b'burn did a harsher challenge and no booking made at all. Get these sunday league refs out, there costing teams to go down. Tho in saying this we did actually play better with 10 men and prob looked the more likely to score. I dont think blackburn or us really deserved to win the game, a point is probably a fair result.
