Ronnie needs to be Banned

I am a huge Ronnie fan. True fan. But today after reading his comments, he needs to be banned for those comments. But World snooker won't do that because he is so good. And in my opinion he said out aloud what every guy thinks, I find it funny, but Ronnie not in public.

"Just imagine, Ding comes over to England and says the same thing in Chinese. What would you people respond?"

Someone wrote that ages ago...I think that's exactly the problem. If someone said that about a Brit, we'd all find it absolutely hysterical.
Either everyone else needs to lighten up, or we need to stop assuming everyone else finds the same things amusing as we do.

you're guilty of exactly the crime you accuse others of

I think i agree with the funny side of things. I think if the Chinese guy Ding said something we would think him a bit silly but at least he has a sense of humor?

Ronnie is a legend, he stands out because he's just about the only snooker player who is prepared to show some personality in front of the media. Give the guy a "break".

Ronnie O'Sullivan is the modern day Alex Higgins, and people with that sort of genius, as Higgins was undoubtedly, are the enigmatic, mercurial-types that go hand-in-hand with being a genius. They wouldn't have their ability if they were straight-laced, its part of being just that little bit special. The special ones are also the troubled ones.

Don't worry Ronnie. You can make all the sexual remarks you like! Fact it, it goes against the professional conduct of the game, but makes it so interesting to watch. which is more important!?!

Well, those remarks he made were inappropriate but doesn't warrant a ban. I think some people are jumping on the hate bandwaggon. I would just treat what he said with contempt and move on.

Have just seen Ronnie's comments at the China Open on youtube... hhmmnn, a bit daft and he really ought to know better. Disappointment (at losing the match) is one thing, but carrying on the way he did in public, in front of many new snooker fans and sponsors alike was niave. Whether Ronnie likes it or not, being the top player in the game means that wherever he goes, he is acting as an unofficial ambassador for World Snooker.

He has aplogised but I do think some form of discliplinary action has to be handed down - probably a fine and loss of some world ranking points...

^o^
