Sagna out for at least 3 weeks

Premier League Arsenal

Just what we did't want at this time. It means we will probably play Gallas at right back with Senderos and Toure in the middle and Clichy at left back. Tough games coming up with Liverpool and Man United we needed our stars and Sagna is out for at least 3 weeks. It could be 5 weeks at the worst case.

The good news is that none of the Arsenal players got injured playing for their countries midweek. That means Sagna, Rosicky and Eduardo are the only players who are injured (but we miss them so much)

Sagna has been a monumental defender for Arsenal and they will miss him sorely

Aside from the silly hair, I haven't noticed him much. Not an Arsenal fan but I don't think this is a major blow, maybe just a morale one.

This season Arsenal have performed above expectations

++++++++++++++++++++++

Whose expectations and why has this only come to light since they stopped winning?

(Gosh this is silly so I'm butting inn on this one.)

Well, my absent friend that would be simply every single football pundit in the entire UK both prior to the start of the season AND during the period Arsenal was leading.
(You really ought to get out more you know ok)

Have you actually watched any football this season? Sagna has been one of the most integral reasons why Arsenal have done as well as they have this season! By far one of the most underrated players in the league and what really makes him great is that that's exactly how he likes it. An amazing professional that has instantly and consistanly shown great form and puts the team ahead of personal glory.

He will be missed but doubt Gallas will play right back. I think Eboue will slot in and if he can show the form he used to from there Arsenal should be able to cope. However based on the way he's playing right now, that's a big ask...

I would have thought Eboue at right back would be the logical solution...

Sigh. Loosing one of our best performers of the season at the most critical time. Him and Clichy are one of, if not THE, major reason for our good season so far.

Although, maybe this will good for youg Theo. Eboue at RB, and Theo on the right mid. Lets just hope our players dont ignore him like they did against Chelsea....

Its not the actual loss of Sagna that will hurt the most. Its that Eboue will probably have to play right back, and considering how he's playing could be a big risk. Then again, he has to be better than the truly dreadful Justin Hoyte.

Eboue playing at RB is not a big risk at all- its where he is most comfortable in and where he built his reputation playing-wise from.

The only problem could be if he finds the transition from RM to RB again hard to deal with- hoping he doesn't but there's a chance
