BlakkMamba (U7760399) posted Mar 27, 2008 It might well be, but everytime he throws that he's got to know he's going to have a right hand coming over the top. one of those connects and it's over. posted Mar 28, 2008 I'm sure Klitschko would like to fight Haye now, when his heavyweight experience is minimal. I'm not so sure he'll be so keen when Haye has had time at the new weight and chopped down a couple of lading heavyweights. Klitschko would be lucky to land on Haye. Trouble is, if he does, he hits very very hard. I still think Haye will win at a canter, but not yet.

KidBarrow (U7501634) posted Mar 28, 2008 Haye would beat Klitschko comfortably and also most of the present batch of heavyweights none of which are special. Haye is that good he will have problems getting anyone to fight him soon.

novapunchbag (U10122138) posted Mar 28, 2008 Why does the original article say 'first tilt' at heavyweight? Is the writer even aware that a certain Tomasz Bonin was stopped in the first round by Haye only last year? No doubt the boo-brigade will rubbish Bonin's credentials but the fact is Haye did the job in spectacular fashion. Haye deserves much more credit. The sorry state of the HW division is partly responsible for Klitschko's status. I remember not too long ago people laughing at Klitschko for having a glass jaw yet now we are meant to believe he's some kind of untouchable warrior. Haye will be able to bulk up and not have to worry about taking it off again like when he fought Bonin. No doubt Haye would be giving weight away were he to fight Klitschko but I've yet to see why a Haye victory is not possible.

novapunchbag (U10122138) posted Mar 28, 2008 I hear you pup but don't misunderstand me,my point was that Haye would have a chance not that he's nailed on for victory. I only said I haven't seen why it's not possible for him to win not that it's impossible for him to lose. A Haye victory against Klitschko is by no means guaranteed, this is after all HW boxing. When I look at the current crop of heavyweights I see a lot of ordinary, slow fighters. Haye is naturally more athletic than most and his movement will cause many fighters problems. His chin and stamina is of course a concern but it's gonna be great fun watching him progress with the big boys.

madpup69 (U8134834) posted Mar 28, 2008 Sorry for the misunderstanding…that’s a fair post. I think Wlad will win, but Haye is very exciting news for the heavyweight division. I would love to see him up against Valuev, even just to see if Valuev can actually be hurt, as one thing for sure, Haye will land on him.

BlakkMamba (U7760399) posted Mar 28, 2008 Did anyone hear the full interview? Wlad was almost mocking of Hayes ambitions. I like that, and to me that says that Wlad was very well aware of who David Haye was, and sees him as a real fight.

on the HolgateRoof (U4433195) posted Apr 1, 2008 Haye seems to answer his critics and doubters who say he's lacking this or that , I think the defeat to Thompson has done him the world of good in the longer run, he seems to have good power the more weight he has, if he can maintain the speed then he's got real potential.
