Today's gossip column

comment on the article

This morning's papers focused mainly on Wednesday night's international games, but there were some interesting pieces of gossip mixed in with all the talk of David Beckham and co.

news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foo...

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has been identified as the man to replace current Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard. The Spaniard is also the target of Real Madrid, Valencia and Atletico Madrid. (Various)

The Catalan giants look set for a summer overhaul, with Ronaldinho likely to leave for a cut-price £12m at the end of the season - putting Chelsea on red alert. (The Sun)

But the Blues could be more interested in tempting Barca's highly rated teenage striker Gal Assulin, who has also caught the eye of Manchester City scouts, to Stamford Bridge. (Daily Star)

Will Benitez leave Anfield? Do Chelsea really need Ronaldinho? Have you heard any other bits of transfer gossip which have yet to hit the backpages?

Everton to sign Kim Kallstrom, it is one of my dream transfers. I bashing everybody about that for the past 4 years or so. biggrin

We missed on Morten Gamst Pedersen from Molde (IIRC) and he joined Blackburn, so this time spash cash on Kim. He is fanstastic player!

Apparently Kevin Keegan is preparing a hefty bid to lure Alex away from Stamford Bridge. Keegan and Arnison were spotted in same airport lounge together.

Say's it all dosent it? Spurs will whittle down its English contingent of players (By a spanish coach) and replace with continental players. When is England ever going to get good enough players for the national team if they are not given a chance. I can understand the EEC rules about free movemant of players, but what about all these African,Austrailian,S American,American, Mexican and Canadians, they dont have free movement and should have a limit per team imposed yikes

It's because foreign managers & players are better than the english ones.

The same way that polish workers are better than the British.

Modric to Chelsea, Ben Afra to Arsenal, Villa to Liverpool, Ribery would be a fantastic addition to the premier league. I would like to see Jimmy Bullard at a better club as well.
