U11162760 posted Mar 31, 2008 I don't think that we need to make more than one big signing in the summer. Whatever funds are available, I would use it to buy a central midfield playmaker of real quality. I think that this would be the final link in creating a very good team capable of scoring more goals next season. I certainly wouldn't want to see Southgate spending it on a number of average players which will not make a lot of difference to the team.

iforwardhamish (U3100199) posted Apr 3, 2008 i must say, should boateng go - it would be a sad day. he's been a brilliant servant for us, and scored some crucial goals (the winner against spurs to clinch europe a few years ago to name just one). boateng represnts the 'new' boro we've seen over the past few years and should he go gareth should look at getting him on the coaching side asap. but to be fair to george himself a decision should be made quickly.

Phil2345 (U11494871) posted Apr 7, 2008 I think that we should definatly try to keep george boateng in the summer coz he is 1 of the few players that actualy plays for his place in the team week in week out!! Rochemback tho is not so commited and doesnt perform enough atall in my eyes and would not be missed greatly. Comment on this article |
