Tickets for Game

Scottish Premier Gretna
comment on the article

What the hell is going on with your club.

My son lives in Livingston. Decided today to go along to the game to support your club to give them some much needed money.

There was no on the gate ticket sale so he couldnt get in.

What the **** is that all about. The stadium is half empty.

Who made that decison? Has someone all of sudden given Gretna a few million that they dont mind a half empty stadium?

It's my own fault for not booking my ticket in advance, I admit, but having gone to the stadium today to buy a ticket at the gate I was astounded that it wasn't possible to!

Granted, my first thought was to grab the opportunity to see Celtic play close-up (rather than from the back of Parkhead) but I also took small pride in being a part of the solution to Gretna's financial crisis.

If Gretna go out of business it will be due in part to the lack of a strong individual to make the common sense decision to make this a pay-at-the-gate match, tapping in to the SPL-derived Livingston community.

Learn from this mistake.

So much for Celtic's fabulous support. I wonder what the attendance would have been if the league was'nt at stake? laugh

Simple. The Lothian and Borders police hate football fans. Actually all the Scottish Police do - to them we are all yobs. This all stems from the early 80's.

The cop shop does have a lot to answer for, I was at the Bayern game and my mole told me that they had the same amount on duty that you'd have for one of the old firm visits, absolute overkill.

"not all spl games are all ticket, only the ones which involve the old firm".

That's not correct - all Hearts home games are all ticket & I would suspect probably Hibs home games too but could be wrong on the last one.

hey i travelled up from lincolnshire to lend support to gretna...i didnt know it was all ticket and was turned away from the ground. looking on here someone said its the police who say that spl games are all ticket....WHY...i went to a spl game about 2 years ago while in scotland and bought a ticket on the day ......Police have killed football in England (stopping 2nd replays in cup games) and now it seems they hell bent on doing it in Scotland....where will police be without the income from football matches......no football no overtime..

Not all SPl games are all ticket. It may be that all games involving the OF are though.

Total nonsense for the police and SPL to invoke a stupid policy like that.

Hearts home games are all ticket but you can normally buy them just before the game. Not at the turnstile I grant you but at the office.

There usually arent many left but you can buy them.
