Whaddon Rd or County Ground?

League One Bristol Rovers
comment on the article

Gasheads,

It's been reported today that Rovers and Swindon boards are meeting to talk about the Gas heading to Swindle instead of Cheltenham next season, as Rovers don't want to lose the revenue for bigger games, with Whaddon only holding 7,000.

So, Swindeon or Cheltenham? Your preferences/ thoughts...

This will never happen, Swindon fans and Wiltshire police would never allow it.
Rovers fans have a history of causing trouble in the town - and on one occasion, they stoned a pub opposite the train station on their way back form a London game...they weren't even playing in Swindon!
So, with a no from City, Swindon and Cheltenham...how about revisting Twerton Park? It may be the only option...

Sorry gashheads it's a no from me too. There's no way Wilts Police would allow this. Ask the Leeds fans how the police treated them (like animals) and there was only 3,000 of them. Imagine every other week 5,000 wovers fans turning up, frog marched to the ground and back.

Like another fan posted, back to Twerton Park???

My first choice was always a return to Twerton but don't they share with Team Bath?
You would have thought that something could have been worked out though. If we are tearing down the Mem in 2 months time then you would think we could take the floodlights, the temporary stand, etc. etc. to Twerton and upgrade the ground?

Why worry, the New Mem WILL NOT HAPPEN! Dunghead is ready to pull the plug and poor old Ron (Am I Still Breathing) Craig will take the blame. What a shambles!!

Twerton was my first choice as well but I am a bit scepticle that we would move back in their because they share with team Bath. I hate Team Tax and would love to throw them out of Twerton but Bath City have a good thing with them at the moment because they pay rent and also get to use Bath University facilities for training and these facilities are some of the best in the country. Throwing Team Bath out would probably mean no access to the facilities for Bath City.

TBH I am not sure why Team Tax share with Bath City because their attendances are only about 80 - 150. They would be better suited to Odd Down's ground laugh but then Bath city wouldn't get the the perks of the uni's facilities.

"Cheltenham would be my choice but then I will watch the gas where ever they will be!"

Breaking news - agreed to share with Carlisle United for season 2008-2009.
