Just like any comments page just an excuse for wales and Scotland to bash the English. Even the BBC has welsh only commentry on its interactive service. SAD.

And you aren't Wales bashing ????

I don't nderstand England's B!!! They were in the world cup final a few month ago and they having problems beating teams like Italy, no way it's a B!! Anyway Wales deserves a A+ for the come-back they've done from the worldcup: outstanding defence (just to tries conceded, another record broke up) and a superb in attack. Maybe France should deserve a B for the exciting rugby they've trie to put on.

Here we go again....the BBC's we love Wales club. Sadly the BBC has a huge Welsh bias. Just listen to the commentary on games. Yes Wales were the winners of the competion but were never so great that they were world beaters......will they go on and lift the World Cup from here......easy answer...NO.

I think giving England a B is very generous. I meen I'm English through and through and i was appalled by the rugby we played. Firstly there was simply giving the first game to Wales then there was the awful performance in scotland. And as for the victories, they were just down to the other teams playing badly. But having said that about England, the same can be said about Wales. They didn't play any particularly brilliant rugby, their victories were pretty much down to the others teams playing absolutely rubbish

Tho only team that can use the excuse of rebuilding in the six nations is France, everyone else played their strongest teams whenever they could. Wales did play pretty much the Ospreys team for lots of it but that's cos their best players are mostly there, in the same way many of Ireland's players come from Munster. The Welsh players are young enough to be around for a while so Gatland has the opportunity to rebuild little by little when needed. Throwing 15players together for the sake of it is not necessarily the way to go.

An excellent article! Very cleverly written and the school report analogy works very well indeed. Close to the mark and had me laughing out loud! I loved the comment, "New head teacher Mr Mallet reduced to tears by end-of-term performance of the Scottish play."

Very well done, more of the same, please.

20 minutes away from Grand Slam....Oh apart from the fact you lost in Edinburgh. England were poor and brought nothing to the tournament.

Pretty funny and by and large a fair reflection.

I don't think the result Eng vs Wales would have been the same, but for 2 key injuries leaving England without a genuine openside and a 2nd row at blind. Wales (and in particular Martin williams) took advantage, as they did in other games.

All credit to Wales for being able to take advantage of their opportunities and deserved their championship and their A+

England were truly hideous against Scotland, did enough against an honest and hardworking Italy and played well against France and Ireland.

I thought scotland deserved the spoon and would have got it save England's pathetic performance against them

Ireland and France were overall a shambles due to their coaching problems/selections. Whether Livrement was correct in his "throw the spaghetti at the wall to see if it's ready" approach pays dividends in the future remains to be seen. Personally I don't think he could have learned much, but we'll see.

Italy I thought can consider themselves unlucky overall. They performed with great heart and at times a decent amount of skill. They could have easily got results against both England and Ireland. Small margins at this level, but with the exception of Wales, if you look at performance and not results Italy should be the most pleased of the other 4 countries as to how they have closed the gap.

I think the Wales A+ is a bit over the top considering that they were toast (and very wobbly)in the first match until England hit the self-destruct button.

Once they got some self belief they were unstoppable
