browncaps (U9802009) posted Mar 18, 2008 I was shocked, but we have lost rikki clarke, ian salisbury and azhar mahmood, so are thin on all-rounders , but lewis has not played county cricket for eight years so it seems a bit of a gamble. i hope it pays off, but i would`ve preferred to get adam hollioake back, as he played twenty20 for essex last season. i think matt nicholson is a genuine all-rounder though and watched him destroy leics` bowling in a pro 40 game at the end of last season.
