Ashamed To Be A Savage Ram?

Premier League Derby County

I am not a Jewell fan, however I suppose he deserves a fair crack of the whip. On current form he is our worst manager ever and is below Phil Brown, Colin Todd et al. I am ashamed though to think that our captain is Robbie Savage and the thought of him embarrassing us in the CCC next year makes my blood curdle! We will be hopelessly embarrassed next year if we look to him to lead us on the field as he is simply way past his best which was never that good anyway. Also he is a bad influence on teams off the field with his childish larking about. The message has to be SAVAGE OUT! SAVAGE OUT! and SAVAGE OUT! Many other teams will have much better backbone than Savage next year and we will struggle unless there is a change of mind from Jewell about this. Another half-baked effort against Boro. Another defeat - Get him out!

Savage is and always had been a lucky man.

How the hell did he ever make it professional with such a lake of skill is beyond.

He's garbage.

You might be onto to something (but I doubt it) if him working as hard as he does, and his breaking up opposition play is down to luck, then yes he is a lucky man. That said I'll take a team of "lucky" players ahead of all those talented but terribly unlucky (injury prone/couldnt score against an open goal) players any day

Doubting his ablity at 30 odd?

Sorry Robbie - most people have for the last decade.

He is an awful player. A headless chicken who has just made a name out of running round the pitch like a madman - cutting down anyone can see!

My favourite Savage quote: "I'm a far better player than Graeme Souness ever was".

Souness's retort "Yes - that's evident by your coca cola cup medal. I never won that".

I hate Souness, but genius!

Robbie Savage winds up a lot of people but he is a very good player. He was the midfield engine in a United Youth Team that had Beckham, Scholes, The Nevilles, Giggs etc. He was sold not because of his lack of footballing ability. He was Derby's best player against United.

Robbie Savage is still a cracking player. And believe me, he really is the perfect fella to help derby bounce back up next year.

Er, he wasn't the midfield engine, he played up front in that youth team...

Robbie Savage upset about criticism? Then maybe he'll stop having a go at the Welsh players then eh?

Well, there seems to be mixed opinions on Savage. All seem either one extreme or the other, which is interesting. One of the things that worries me about being in the prem this season is that many have forgotten how good you have to be to get out of the CCC. Really, there are many better players than Savage in the Championship.

Rovers fan in peace.

Whoever wrote this is a muppet, especially after seeing Savage against ManU.

Savage is the perfect player for Derby at the moment, works his ass off for every team he plays for. Was an inspired purchase.

Hasn't Jewell been getting a fair crack of the whip?
