Fuller suspended. Another loan for Stoke?

Championship Stoke City

The Sentinel is suggesting that with Fuller suspended for the next two games and Portsmouth blocking TP's pursuit of David Nugent, that City will be looking to recruit another striker on loan.

I'm wondering what happened to Newcastle's Shola Ameobi, and whether Sunderland's youngster, Martin Waghorn, might even be a target - recent history suggests that Keane and Pulis are able to do good business. Can't imagine getting hold of Marlon Harewood.

Any thoughts on this? Do City need to bring in another striker? Who do you see as attractive and realistic targets?

Freddie Eastwood's an interesting one, but I just can't imagine any club that are chasing promotion or battling to avoid relegation letting any of their people go out on loan, unless they're really really unlikely to get a first team place - which maybe discounts David Healy (though he'd be great) and Birmingham's O'Connor.

Any more for any more?...

Id be looking at maybe bringing in a premiership striker that cant get a game,in a similar vein to the Leroy Lita loan signing-why not even make a cheeky enquiry for that new West Ham kid Freddie Sears...he looked well hungry for goals

How about Kenny Miller , as Derby arent going to do anything now so he would be a good loan signing and save Derby a few quid whilst we pay his wages

I am a wolves fan and having seen Bothroyd play all season i am glad to see the back of him he may be one of the best stikers technically in championship but is the laziest striker around. As for Freddy Eastwood being linked with stoke, we need as much fre power as possible due to our lack of goals and he will score goals if he is given the chance not five minutes at the end of every match

haha the Miller one is funny, I somehow don't think Derby fans would be pleased to see their star asset bar that Giles leave!

Healy is proven at Championship level but I gather he would be reluctant to step back down - perhaps if Stoke come up he's a target?

A fit James Vaughn would have fitted in?

Young strikers are difficult as they haven't proven themselves, its all about confidence boosting and once they get pushed or shoved will they lose interest?

Your top, I'd do without I think?
