'West Ham are expected to announce Gianluca Nani as their new technical director on Monday.

Hammers boss Alan Curbishley travelled to Italy last week to discuss possible summer transfer targets with Nani, who has been working as general manager at Brescia.

Nani could also have a role with the West Ham Academy.'

I'm all in favour of Curbs not being in charge of transfer targets.

If you have been a blue since 1969 don't you think it's about time that you stopped acting like a big kid?

Well with Arsenal Giles Gimandi and David Dein took most of the roles of a sporting director.

Arsene said which sort of players he wanted, Giles used his big scouting network, and then Dean tied up the deal if Wenger liked him

I think that the money that has been spent on this bloke may well have been better off used to buy a player that aint always injuried.
The ammers soccer school has always produced good players so why change something that aint broke!
Improving our scouting? Can't we get the players that we've got to play well together rather than bringing in more and try to keep them fit!
