Shut up idiot, sorry where did you come in the most recent competition? Second wasnt it? Thanks to the number of points WALES put on France.
So you should bow down and be grateful. 2 Grand Slams in 4 seasons, and 3 wins out of the past four over England.
Go stick that in your pipe and smoke it

Going on about how it was a poor 6 nations seems seems a churlish response, mainly I suspect because England didnt win it. What about all the boasts about England being back on track after they beat France? It reminds me of school when some child loses a game and then says "I wasnt really trying!" "Oh, most of the teams are rebuilding! France didnt try that hard! It was a poor tournament" comes the cry from England.

rafadodo I think the point about the English press is that is supposed to be the British press. As is the BBC (the clue is in the name!) which follows the agenda set by the press.
England's achievement in getting to the WC final was impressive in one sense (against all the odds etc. etc.) but they only won two games to do it. Prior to those two games they were rubbish.
Wales had to win 5 on the trot for the GS, three of them against top international sides.
And we do like playing rugby. Most of England's successes have been built on stopping any rugby breaking out on the field.

Only a coaching team burning with desire could breathe fire into the Dragons' belly
Wales 29 France 12
Even in England's face-saving defeat of Ireland, the comparison with the Welsh effort remained devastating. At Twickenham, Danny Cipriani was allowed a starting place at only the last call, and with predictably sensational effect. At the Millennium Stadium, Gavin Henson, whose dubious celebrity status was sprouting long before Cipriani was allowed into his first nightclub, was gloriously completing a whole season of rehabilitation under the strength and the nous of the Gatland command.

Against France, the Welsh tactics were so brutally effective, so complete in their guarantee of victory, that the allusion to Denman's triumph is surely not so idle. Denman applied pressure to the potentially brilliant Kauto Star so relentlessly he might have been equipped with a gauge as well as awesome natural strengths. It was the same with the Welsh annihilation of France.

Well Done Wales!

It must have been a terrible shock for this glorious grand slam team to have been humbled so comprehensively last weekend by a middle order GP club side containing no current International players. No doubt the South Africans were watching and having a quiet chuckle. winkeye

Nah, doubt it. Because they don't play the same way as they do for Wales - different tactics, different coaching staff. Unlucky you fat english wum.

Angry Gas Man, it was a poor six nations because 4 of the 6 teams didn't live up to their potential. Ireland, France, England and Scotland were all tipped to have a good year, but all ended up playing poor rugby. For the neutral it was a poor six nations. Wales played well and deserved their grand slam, but I'm afraid that on its own doesn't make it a good tournament...

At the end of the day, Wales can only beat whats put in front of them, and they did the job.
As you said, deserved Grand Slam champions, playing GOOD rugby.
That's all that needs to be said really.
