Quality football from everton fc. I am absolutely gutted along with everyone else. To lose out on penalties was undeserved.
I thought the referee had a good game in fairness.

Tim Howard produced some fine saves, and was the victim to some well taken penalties in the shoot out.

Phil Neville albeit had some poor passes which comes as part of the overall package for him had some good link up play with Arteta.

Joe Yobo and Jagielka were brilliant, keeping the likes of Vieri in thier pockets.

Lescott was tremendous, good linking up with pienaar, good delivery, and had the ability to stroll past players like he did it for fun.

Arteta was my man of the match. His delivery for the first time in a while was world class.

Osman was brilliant, with effort and desire shining on the pitch, showing how much of a quality player he is.

Carsley was, well carsley. Good to see he didn't blast any into row Z at a failing attempt to be a hero.

Pienaar I though had a decent game, and like arteta, had some genious crosses.

Yakubu I thought was ok. He missed a few and looked awkward on the ball. I am being pick here.

Johnson again scored the vital goal. We needed it so badly and he produced.

I am genuinly gutted for Everton and for David Moyes, That was a harsh way to go.

In Moyes we trust.

EVERTON82 -- oh deary deary me you bit! ha ha ha however can you recall the Everton - LIVERPOOL game at your 'DUMP' two seasons ago 3-0 to EFC where Graham Poll assisted your team throughout? AJ scored a goal that day before fouling a couple of pool players enroute yet the goal stood, there was another goal a mile offside yey POLL was intent on allowing EFC to win the game by hook or by crook Oh YES you have such short memories of that day when there was a massive miscarriage of JUSTICE last night part of that was paid back but very shortly at ANFIELD there will be further PAYBACK 3-0 to LIVERPOOL FC THE MIGHTY REDS! WHO WILL NEVER WALK ALONE and this comes from a MANCHESTER FAN who recognises just like RAFA does and that is EVERTON A SMALL TIME CLUB!!!!

All things said and done however, we're a bit bigger than Man City aren't we, just a tad.laugh

Remind me, how many times have you won the league? what only twice.

Everton didn't deserved to go out on penalties!

Everton should now concentrate on beating Liverpool to that fourth spot!

in reply to DJDG1979:

whenever talking italian football some english always resort to trite stereotypes...I watched the game and I honestly think everton deserved to go through...great perfomance drive and committment.. they played a most effective brand of english football... long balls sheer phisicality and all-out attack..but man,...why do you have to go about diving anf play-acting on the italians' behalf all the time? why should't they have celebrated? did you fail to notice that the most blatant dives were by johnson and yakubu...just face it everyone is at it nowadays...as to serie a being a digrace as you claim...what's the reason ing behing such a statement? the big money is in the EPL by now....it follows epl is more competitive than seriea... does it mean that english players are better than italians...no way...england have to go a long way before they can achieve the competitiveness of the italian squad... ther's more to fooball than committment and long balls...I still thing england might learn a thing or two from italians...how to knock the ball about tactics...and more importantly ball skills...until then no european cups and world cups for you..

tedkn*b - Which red are you really? Liverpool or Man Utd? oh and talking about Poll wasn't it him who when he saw the ball was about to cross the line for an everton goal blew the whistle before 90mins had been played? You can talk about "justice" all you like but if you wasn't so bias you'd see that we're generally hard done too. Why does a supposed man city fan hate everton so much anyway?

yasmanu - fulham can take as many points as they like tomorrow it won't effect us, we play them on sunday smiley

Tedkn*b - one more thing, you talk about "justice" in this way, so I can take it that you think Micah Richards injury was "justice" for his handballs against us? The referee done you some favours that night could have been 5-0.
