I must say I'm chuffed with the recent extension of David James! :D Mainly because over the years I have always liked David James in our England goal, since he seems more.. Reliable? Consistent as well.

Maybe now that he's overrunning Paul Robinson for the No.1 for England, more Premiership football week in, week out keeps him on his toes and match fit.

There's always a feeling of safeness when he's in England's goal. Live long David James!

Phil.

James is by far the best keeper ive seen for the last two seasons and has been vital at Pompey. Some of the saves he makes are immense. Glad to see him commit to our future and hopefully with that will come a secure Place between the sticks for england.

OK 60 million dollar question everyone :

Can he stay good enough until the next world cup (age considering) ?
(our next big championship if we qualify)

Has any keeper played at that age (that he will be) succesfully in a world cup ?

hes like the Bruce Forsythe of football! never seems to get old.

despite being Saints fan, hats off to David James, he has been a good player for Pompey, and £1.6m is looking like a bargain, especially in this day and age.

Top Quality Keeper without doubt.
Signing James along with Campbell and Kanu was a real turning point for pompey imo.

Dont care what James has done, Seaman will always be a better goalkeeper. Good job though
