All hail the great Gavin Ward!.........hold on,that was Sunday.

I couldn't go last night but listened intently on Radio Wales. It sounds like "saint"(I'll bet you feel stupid now after that post my friend) Gavin Ward had a reccurence of his familiar "kickitis".2 mistakes,2 goals handed on a plate to the oppo. It's bad enough losing, but what's SO sickening is the way we appear to have lost.It sounded like we were good enough on the night to get something from the game, but we shot ourselves in the foot AGAIN.Hard to swallow!.

Any comments from those who went gratefully accepted, plus, any apparent injuries?,were the substitutions tactical or enforced?.

Can't wait for Saturday,Bury are on a real role!.

It was a tale of 2 games for Wardy. I had the unfortunate experience of travelling to Wycombe. I am a football fan who lives on Deeside and i saw the Derby on sunday which was a much needed result for Wrexham however on true reflection probably a very fortunate 3 points however last night the performance again was inept although a big improvement after half time. I cannot believe how poor Wrexham and Chester have gone. It saddens me as a lower league football supporter to see my local sides have become so poor. I won't be going to the Bury game saturday but i will try the Deva tonight before i go back to Afghanistan, i only hope to see some football tonight and Chester perform like early season! I hope Wrexham win saturday and stay up good luck lads! North Wales needs a football league team!

It was frustrating that for as much as we were outplayed by Wycombe last night, it was only two horrendous mistakes that gifted them their two goals.

I guess goalkeepers find it easier than any other player to go from hero to villain, even within the space of 48 hours.

At least we have the positive of how well we played 2nd half to take into Saturday's 6 pointer with Bury. I don't think many would argue that we deserved to take at least a point from Adams Park.

Aiston and Taylor were particularly threatening when they came on, and hopefully we can utilise their attacking threat further in the remaining matches.

Best of luck to Wycombe for the rest of the season too, always enjoy my trips to Buckinghamshire and was impressed by how many of their supporters stopped us after the match genuinley wishing us luck in our quest to beat the drop.

Dont worry Wrexham, The shrews will do a job on Macclesfield for you this weekend now that we have got a new Messiah in Paul Simpson. We dont want you to go down, i quite like our annual three points from the Racecourse.
Chins up...At least your doing well in the rugby.

Wardie didn't adapt to the conditions 1st half and their strikers were far too fast for Hopeless and Bolland....end result 2 nil down could have been worse! Second half different story, introduction of Gaz Evans & Neil Taylor brill!

We had the opportunity to finish Wycombe off last night and if it hadn't been for Fielding would have.

Wycombe are a good, quick footballing team and second half we more than matched them. Frustrated at gifting them 2 goals but proud of the lads for the way they played second half!

Sam Aiston out classed Doherty hence we was sent off. The Ref was inconsistent, their N0 4(man of the match for WW) intentionally handle the ball 1st half Ref didn't even speak to him, Zac Knight the less said about him the better!

I don't think we'll see Hope again, especially on Gaz Evans second half performance and if Evo is fit again! Worried about Jeff too, didn't look good. If it is long term I hope Danny Sonner is back for Saturday!!

We all know Hope is rubbish, But I can't see Little droping him! Which is a huge shame!

I think we should keep Ward in goal. He had a very good game on sunday so we know the ability is their he just needs to show it more often, plus I think he is better than Williams (even if none of them are great)

Tell you what i think im cursed yikes

I wouldn't go as far as saying Ward is a poor kepper im rather confident most people on here would rather him in goal than Tony Williams.

Also strong wind didn't really help (im not making excuses) and apparently their 2nd was from a poor backpass by Tremarco

Having just watched the highlights, I'd just like to say, the 1st was a poor clearance which reached Knight on the half way line. He was allowed to stride forward without being challenged but then hit a cracking shot into the net. More often than not they are the sort of shot which goes into row z! This time it didn't! Conclusion, poor kick out but it still took some finishing! The second was clearly going straight down the middle & seemed to have a decent length to the kick until the wind caught it! It then got blown backwards & to the left. The unmarked Tremarco decided to head it back to Ward but only gave it to the unmarked Wycombe player. You have to ask yourself why ? As he knew Ward was having trouble kicking against the strong wind. Conclusion, conditions caused the original problems with the kick, but a poor choice & execution of the backpass caused the goal!
Ward is certainly not a below average player! He's a decent shot stopper who marshalls his defence well. Willaims too is a good shot stopper who is less commanding. Thus I'd chose Ward ahead of Willams but I think they're both OK at this level!
