I'd love to see Kubica in a Ferrari, I think he'd beat the lot of them!

The problem isn't so much his foul mouth (who wouldn't swear on that occasion) but the fact he just whinges and moans all the time, without having particularly achieved anything!

And yes alkmaar67, Kubica in a Ferrari would be bittersweet for me! I'd be pleased he was in with a shot at winning something, but saddened that he was in a Ferrari!

MW comments on a 'B' class race, which got me thinking - it might be an idea to split the Constructor's World Championship into two divisions of 5 teams. The drivers would all race in the main championship, as normal, but the constructors would the main prize and the 'B' division prize for coming 1st of the also-rans. Be a bit more of an incentive to watch the whole race, and the teams at the bottom could get realistic about 'winning' races. You'd have a relegation/promotion every season based on team performance, so team winning B would be 'promoted' to the main Constructor's championship. You'd just get additional points for being the 'first' placed B-class team that would only count towards the B championship. Or maybe the idea sucks. Anyway, it'd stop me sleeping from laps 30-70.

Hmm well that sucks for teams like BMW and Renault who are currently well and truly in the top 5, with little hope of getting into the Top 1 and little chance of them falling out of the Top 5...

That's like giving more prize money to the winner of the football Championship than the runner-up in the Premier League!

Mark,

A few weeks ago we saw at the end of a BBC interview how Fernando Alonso was fed a closed question so the BBC could spin Alonso's 'If I have to name one driver, it's Kimi' could become 'Hamilton could win title - Alonso' on the BBC Home Page.

Given that there are probably several Dingoes and Kangaroos that realise that Hamilton could win the 2008 WDC I don't know why the BBC had to feed Alonso a closed question, in a manner not dissimilar to a technique I was taught on a Professional Sales Skills course over a decade ago but there you go.

The BBC misquoted Alonso, and excused themselves like a used car dealer pointing at the small print of a warranty and saying 'He did say that'.

Given that the BBC have no qualms, and sliding editorial standards in misquoting Fernando Alonso, what do you think the press try getting more mileage out friction Alonso and Hamilton or the grudge match between Max and Ron Dennis?

Which one of those two rivalries do the 'press' build up more?

How much further can the press hype up those rivalries before they'll be trying to get Max and Ron to don lurid Wrestlers leotards?

G'day Mark,

2007 F1 standings (abridged):

#10 David Coulthard - 14pts
#12 Mark Webber - 10pts

At what game did you beat old David 'fair and square'? Rock, paper & scissors? Hopscotch? Twister..?

Who's Mark Webber?
DC is much better than him, he's pretty mediocre.
Mark, I have got a word of advise for you: If you see a Ferrari or Hamilton behind you, get out of the way, please!
I see why F1 wants to keep an Aussie driver and a GP in Australia, but you are absolutely rubbish, mate!

Hi Mark,

As a big fan, I hope you get a chance to answer this question. Can you tell me if you're looking to switch teams for next year? Yeah, I suppose you don't want get Red Bull off-side by saying that you are looking, so you're bound to say no. But I really hope that you ditch Red Bull and find a way to move up the grid. The fact of the matter is that Red Bull just don't have the resources or commitment to win races, and you need to be at Ferrari, McLaren, or BMW to have a chance. I believe BMW's drivers are out of contract at the end of the year, and there's plenty of speculation about Massa leaving Ferrari given his poor start to the year... please tell me you're pushing Flavio like crazy to get you into one of these seats for '09!
