Possibly, but for mine, the best should barge was by Hoffmann from the Scotland team. Hoffmann wasn't banned for any games, so if there is any consistency, Symonds should just get a match fee fine and nothing else. Check out the Hoffmann shoulder barge by clicking on this link

It was rather amusing...I would just like to know if it was a player from any other country that did that, would they have got off without so much as a caution??

Well done India..in a few weeks the mighty Protea's will be number 1 in the world again...long live the rainbow nation...

It was a natural reaction from Symonds. What if he wanted to hug symonds? smiley
I am glad that Harbhajan didn't had a physical dual with Symonds smiley
it was funny though.

Your'e right - the only rugby player who would be proud of that hit would be Henson!
But that bloke had it coming - funny to watch - and even funnier that he enjoyed it!

Great fun for all (even the streaker thought it funny) I guess, and well done the ACB for not taking a, er, pompous attitude towards it - no streaker, no tackle (so's to speak).

The English response to this incident shows why the nation can't win at sport. In the US, Symonds was described as "assisting an officer". In Australia, it was a big laugh for everyone, including the streaker himself. Only in England did the press try to make the incident a crime, and wring their hands about how awful it was. Namby pamby soft centred momma's boys, how you put the fear of god into your opponents.

Does this individual have ANY self-control? THIS is how an experienced, international cricketer behaves? This guy exhibits all the signs of being an (overgrown) bully. It seems every time something happens that Symonds doesn’t approve of, he thinks nothing of acting out and letting his displeasure be known via his boorish words/actions. This man does not belong in an international cricketing arena. Of course, the reality is that his behavior was likely chuckled at (“Oh, look at the precious thing Symonds did now”) by his board, and he will continue behaving this way, given that he has gone unpunished.

What a bunch of hypocritical losers (and I don't mean just the players on that team).
