Prost disillusioned by F1

Formula One
comment on the article

Four-times world champion Alain Prost reckons technology is so advanced in Formula One that driving is now as easy as playing on a PlayStation.

He told BBC One's Inside Sport: "It's more speed, less brains, less tactics, less strategy and much less work together between a driver and the engineers - and that is not Formula One I like."

Do you agree with Prost? And if so, what can be done?

Sometimes I love the way that I can bounce over curbs and even straight-line a chicane and gain up to ten seconds on Schumacher and co. But then I wish that doing that would destroy my car because as long as I can gain advantage by jumping a curb then I will do so.

I do have an entry on Wiki, but my real name isn't CroydonBob, it's Kate Moss.

I remember Alain Prost as a real racing driver able to win races in any car he drove. The way he thought through, and mananged his race tactics, showed a real understanding of all aspects of the sport. I would therefore value his opinion greatly.

Likewise. So I'll admit that I'm not really Kate Moss, she's not even interested in motorsport; I'm really Naomi Campbell.

Prost was wrong. It's not Playstation but "FerrariGame".Ferrari own the game, have all the advantages, all the hype, can bend the rules, have the referees on their side and get to decide when you pay 2,000,000 to pass go.Otherwise Prost is perfectly correct.

Yeah F1 was really tough sport until LH came along and started winning races!!!

I suppose when LH decides to quit it will suddenly become a more demanding sport again Proff???
