City fans, I always thought you were actually quite loyal, and sensible.
But this is outrageous.
what place did you finish last season? You couldn't even bloody score a goal at home, let alone win a match. Sven's got you beating f4cking united, home&away, and actually contesting for europe, with some class players. Stop bloody moaning.

thyra7: we're not challenging anyone for anything, that's the whole problem.

We're more than happy with the derby wins (as you are with PAO) but a no score draw against Wigan is rightfully not acceptable.

The problem is not with Sven and his tactics.

The problem is that if City are safe from relegation, and they beat Manchester United, then it is regarded by the fans as a successful season.

This filters through to the players, so once midtable safety is achieved and United are beaten, there seems to be no ambition in the club.

I believe Manchester City need to aim for higher things, as I think they have the players- Petrov is arguably the best left winger in the Premiership, and Elano is an exceptional talent. Dunne and Richards are two of the finest defenders in the Premier League. I think City can achieve much, much more if they stop being afraid of ambition.

Cit-te today produced the worst, most boring Premiership game of the entire season. A total waste of time to watch. If it had not been for a number of lucky one goal wins, Cit-te would be among the shake-down at the bottom of the Premiership, fighting against relegation.

The problem with City this season is that we have looked exceptional at times and then very ordinary at others... which is part of the course for any team over a long season ...

So what should we do ..

Well at home we could play a more attacking formation .. and keep the 4-5-1 for away games..
We didnt create enough chances against a very poor Wigan side..
As people have alredy said .. Castillo looked good when he came on .. but for me I would play Garrido on the left he's good going forward till Petrov is back...

Elano : In a 4 4 2 formation may be a liability .. but thinking him and Johnson in the middle would create some openings with 2 strikers to aim for ..

Anyway .. heres hoping we do achieve something this season .. god knows we deserve it ..

I think if we address these issues we will open up teams easier at home..

CITYSAL: The reason you were reduced to only two decent chances was because we defended well.

I know it's hard to take not beating lowly Wigan at home but unfortunately we aren't a bad team and just need someone up front to start knocking them away. Too many average/bad strikers here at Wigan.

Its not hard to defend against a side who play infront of you...
Thats the problem I was trying to make.. if city had stretched you more by trying to get behind the defence it would have been a totally different game and could have been 4 or 5 nil...
I dont mind Wigan .. seen you tear us apart a few times.. mainly the game where Jason Roberts took Distin back to school so its nothing personal.. just my opinion..
Melchiot had a god game for you though ..
