Our Biggest Game of the Season?

Premier League Portsmouth

Well we are on TV on Sunday up at Goodison Park.

This game could be our make or break for Europe next season and peronally I feel with this game, and Villa at home, are our two most crucial games.

With us so strong away from home (not really in the previous weeks) and with Diarra and Jamo on top form, can anyone see us getting a result?

I personally would be happy with a draw especially with the other surrounding teams fixtures (ie playing the top 4).

But i just think 3 points on Sunday would see us become serious serious contenders for Europe!

My prediction is a hopeful 0-0 draw. I just think it will do wonders for our confidence but bore the fans!

Would anyone else like to imput?

Everton's attitude to games at the moment is " one game at a time " then go out to do what is needed to win . David Moyes will know Pompey's strengths and weaknesses and will pick his team accordingly . I will be at the game on Sunday and I must say Portsmouth's away support is great ! Incidentally , just for the record , most of us Everton fans have jobs , have no need for extra car stereos or hub caps and don't need feeding at Christmas time !nahnah

Harry won't play Defoe up front on his own, he said as much himself, he also said he will rest Kanu.
I hope we get something from the game as we are 3 points behind at the moment and a defeat will make it a gulf

Well the logical thing to do is play a lone striker and with Kanu not being considered that leaves Baros as the only option. At Goodison I think it is imperative that we play 4-5-1. I'd go with:

James
Johnson
Campbell
Distin
Hreidarsson
Utaka
Bouba Diop
Diarra
Muntari
Kranjcar
Baros

Subs: Ashdown, Aubey, Mendes, Davis, Defoe

I just dont think we can leave Defoe out.

I think we are going to see a 4-4-2 with Baros dropping back as an attacking midfielder. In essence Defoe will be playing as a lone striker but Baros will be there to support and this gives Niko and Utaka the chance to support. Muntari, Diop and Diarra always holding the midfield and then the usual back line.

I think we are going to see Jamo have a stormer on sunday, he always does on TV for some reason!

0-0 is my prediction, but if we can nick it then im gonna say 0-1 with a Muntari with a 30 yard screamer in the dying moments of the game.

that would be lovely.
Looking forward to the game, I don't get down to Portsmouth much because of the cost, so I certainly can't afford a trip to Liverpool!

If James continues his awesome form, we'll be able to play a 0-7-3 formation and still notr conceed.
Hopefully Diarra and Muntari will get a grip of the midfield, I'm hoping for a 0-1result, but to be honest we'll have done well to get anything, Everton are playing some great football.
