Here we go !!!

Good morning everybody. I start to trastale it. In 5 mts I must leave, so Gordon can continue it.

Good luck for all drivers and their fans !!

Seeya

Good morning from Montmeló. It starts lastest test, a marked day by the presence of Michael Schumacher on the track. Today, the German will be the final verdict of the F2008. For now overcast and the track wet by rainfall this morning, but forcasts are optimistic and it seems today we can enjoy an intense test day.

9:00 green light for drivers. Despite the track is still wet, the day begins with higher activity than in tests last week, where rain prevented the teams work normally. But since this is the last chance, the latest training and Teams have to make headway the most.

9:15 Teams and drivers now in Montmeló:

McLaren: Hamilton & Kovalinen.
Renault: Alonso & Piquet.
Ferrari: Schumacher & Raikkonen.
Honda: Wurz & Barrichello.
BMW: Klien & Heidfeld.
Toyota: Glock & Kobayashi.
RedBull: Webber & Coulthard.
Toro Rosso: Vettel.
Williams: Nakajima & Rosberg.
Force India: Sutil & Liuzzi.

9:26 It notice these are the lastest days of test. Last week the track was in the same conditions as today, with some water and quite cold, but now the teams no longer have time to waste and most have jumped on track. They have to demonstrate their potential of their cars and put everything up before Australia.

9:30 Ferrari is now in the spotlight. Michael Schumacher is in Montmeló to test the F2008 and give his opinion. Impressions of heptacampeón are highly regarded in the Italian team, if he considers it necessary to make any change in the single will be in these days in which to take decisions.

9:33 Michel Schumasher jumps to track! The "kaiser" has made the installation´s lap and has returned to the box.

9:40 After the installation lap, some pilots have not returned, however, Rosberg and Vettel are on track.

9:50 Nico Rosberg has just return to pitlane, the Williams driver has completed a short course. Now only Barrichello is on the track

9:55 Times updated:

1.Rosberg - 1:32.222
2.Vettel - 1:35.125
3.Nakajima - 1:35.748
4.Rubens - 1:36.918
5.Wurz - 1:37.691

Might be just me being cynical but Force India's improvement at the end of the session looks suspicious. erm

Err, thanks guitargraham but I was just a (small) part of the team bring this info.

Hi Kechy

Great thread stardiva

GM & Maverick (in particular) ok for regular updates. It's been good to come in from work and catch up on the action during the course of the day.

As none of us have any idea what these teams are doing during these tests, we, equally have no idea what it all means, except maybe, for the fact that Mclaren and Ferrari are going to be somewhere at the top again.
In view of this, there is one indisputable fact that has emerged so far. That Michael can still run with the best and would most likely still win races if he was driving in competition this season.

does this prove to all the doubters that Mclaren is still up to speed with Ferrari? eventhough they stopped development and had a huge fine? still im looking forward to a great season of F1 action!

I am actually impressed and pleased that mclaren looks to of kept pace with the ferrari...the biggest pleasing part is williams seem to be stronger in testing than I can recall in afew years, hopefully frank can have something to look forward to with this new season!

Obviously Renault are deliberately slowing Fernando Alonso's car to lull Lewis Hamilton into a true sense of security.

After his difficulties accepting being second last year, how long will Fernando Alonso tolerate being back in the pack and scrapping for 7th or 8th?
