FA Cup Chelsea

I can't beleieve what I have just seen. Tottenham outplayed Chelsea, so fair play to them.. BUT, their first goal should never have happened, there was a blatent foul on Essien before they got the penalty. Plus a harsh handball.

Chelsea seemed to be playing against the ref and linesman for a lot of the game, but no excuses there cuz Tottenham played better so the questions have to be asked of chelsea.

Grant in my opinion rightly played Anelka with Drogba from the start, but it clearly was not working, so why not change to a 4-4-2, or take Anelka or Drogba off and play Joe Cole? Very poor decisions from Grant. His first test and he has failed miserably.

Kalou is a complete waste of space and had no impact on the game at (all as per usual). Joe Cole must be very disapointed.

everyone should lay off grant, hs lost 3 in 53. and his record is only just behind mourinhos first 53 matches. so what he lost 2-1 to spurs, who beat arsenal 5-1 you dont see arsenal slating wenger. some bad decisions in that game that went against chelsea but thats football. give grant a least till end of the season then judge. hes adapted well and him n ten cate can only get better. youll see.were in 3 more competiotns i can see us getting 2 of them .

Plainly deluded.

His record is commented on in here, you haven't answered why you have performed so poorly at home (draws instead of wins) and against the other "big" sides). I suggest you post something a bit better than a media soundbite in support of your argument.

Spurs beat Arsenal Reserves 5-1. They played superbly, deserved the win, a bit like Sunday. At least Wenger had the balls to stick with the team that got him that far both last season and this season! More than we can say about Grant who bailed on form and went with "names". Again you haven't really dealt with that have you!

There are very few people on this thread, including the Blues, that think they were the subject of poor refereeing. As you say, however, that's football, get over it.

I look forward to you substantiating how you are going to win 2 of the remaining 3 trophies this year. It ain't the Prem as you can't win at home and against the other big four teams (who you have to play at home!) so where are the points coming from? Champions League and FA Cup it is then. You obviously feel that Grant could motivate the team to provide a better performance in an FA Cup final than that on Sunday...............

<<Cash in while you can!>>

JOE COLE is a world class player -- and this will be proven in the next club he plays for.

There's little for him at CFC anymore. But when COLE proves his worth, you will not be posting a big, fat I'm-sorry here. You'll just be silent.

Pls let us accept this defeat with grace. No amount of excuses or buck passing would erase the fact that Spurs were miles better and if not for Zokora's waste, there wouldnt have been extra 30mins.
I always laugh when Grant talks about flair because even looking thru blue tinted glasses,i cant see it.what our players still do is play solid effective football only minus the air of invincibility we had under JM.
RA must be deluding himself if he thinks Chelsea would achieve anything with Grant.I'm not disappointed at all.my expectations had been lowered since JM left.
I would still support Chelsea while still relishing the glorious 3 yrs of the SPECIAL ONE.
BLUES FOR LIFEok

what a damp squib - travelled down from Edinburgh to give my 17 yo son a treat (NOT !) - Chelsea did not live up to their potential. Poor tactics, wrong team selection, etc, etc but Spurs ( to my surprise! ) were hungrier on the day. Worst of all the entertaining football of the past - late 70's / early 80's has evaporated ! Winning trophies with a bit of style & flair should be the aim of this squad - not grinding out a one nil victory against mediocre but motivated opposition.
