I find it ironic the red fan that highlighted Brann as a mining town has forgotten Barnsleys' famous coal industry and as they beat you in the worlds most famous elimination competition after scares from bankrupt Luton and non-league havant - you're point is?. Couldn't you spend your time whining about American owners instead?

As a neutral going to every home game for this tournament - I would like to thank Everton for the sensible pricing which has generated sell outs for each home game and a good atmosphere. Overall, an entertaining game, Everton were a touch disjointed for the first thirty minutes. But once they got a handle on the game there were some exceptional performances. Everton really tore them apart in the second half and it could have been ten goals.

Brann looked like a team that have not competed much over the last few months and were quite frankly poor going forwards. I lost count of the number of times they hoofed the ball out for a goal kick. However the Brann travelling fans were value for money - they sang their hearts out for the whole game - even enjoying a little bit of harmless song banter with the home fans.

Roll on Fiorentina in the next round. Cant wait to get my tickets booked. hoping to see ALL British clubs advance as far as possible in the competition.

And the fans said yakubu should be sold after coming bck late from the nations cup. i don't like indiscipline but yakubu gives everton something extra. Put him up for sale and you will be surprised at how fast clubs will rush for him.
Good game though but the real test is against the italians.

didn't a team from the 'Mickey Mouse Competition for Europes non elite' beat you 5-1 recently??

Or was that just another Mickey Mouse comp??

Also really enjoyed your 4-0 thrashing from Man Utd at the weekend. Good to see Rooney playing well smiley

enjoy your trip to Milan, they have great pizza! Something to look forward to!! smiley

Arsenal fan here...

Well done last night with the emphatic win. Didn't exactly expect anything different though. Everton should go far in this competition and hopefully finish above liverpool this season.

Your comments underline your understanding of football, zilch. Your not a Chelsea fan by any chance? Is it half term & you have been allowed to stay up late?

Regardless of Andy Johnson goal scoring tally this season it was clear to anyone that has the slightest appreciation of football he had a very good game last night & not just because he scored 2 quality finishes.

Whilst SK Brann probably weren't the best opposition in the world, I think the score explains that. Looking at their previous results they actually don't seem to have done too badly.

I am not sure if you are aware how the concept of a competition works but they had managed to get through a qualifying & the group stages so they obviously have beaten someone . Dinamo Zagreb being one, they are Croatian & we all know what Crotia did to England!

Please feel free to ask a question if there is anything you are struggling to understand !

Evertonians,Yakubu gives to you what he does not offer us,he is dedicated to Everton. He gives only 50% to his National team. What a shame,as i coach i would not start him in a SUPER EAGLES game.Enjoy hm he is yours after all you pay his wages.

It shows how bad the opposition must be when Andy Johnson, surely the 2nd worst English striker in the premiership (after Darren Bent),is on the score sheet.Miles of aimless running around, getting easily hussled off the ball, criminally directionless shots-these are all part his inept repetoire and indeed were there tonight as always. He scored in a game when everyone could have done so.Hardly quality.Hardly well done.Thankfully Australia and Nigeria oblige with some talent up front on a more regular basis.
