Firstly i would like to say, well done to Rangers for showing great character on a night where all the odds were stacked against them and even more so after losing an early goal.
Pana looked a decent outfit in the first 30 minutes however rangers made them look a good side.

I dont want to critise my team to much on a great night for the club however a few home truths still have to be raised and a few questions have to be answered.
Firsly. Why is Charlie Adam even making a rangers squad when there is players with qulaity such as burke and buffel, whom i think is still one of our best players, on the bench?
Adam is no more than a fringe player and should not be playing in games as crutial as this one tonight. He does not posses the qulaity and i would be surprised if he was still at ibros next season.
Secondly. Christian Daily comes on to replace Adam who is even worse. Rangers are chasing a goal and daily is the man to be the hero? What a joke. Buffel should have replaced him and given the chance to be the hero as he definetly posses the qulaity to make a diference on a game like this one.
Boyd was woeful in most parts and again proved to the gaffer and the fans why he dosent get a sniff in european ties as he just does not have the quality in his locker to compete at this level.
I agreed when Walter brung in cousin last week at ibrox. Yes he may be on the way to Fulham but he still has the qulality to change a game on the european stage where as boud would not have made a difference.
Next round should see Rangers take on Werder Bremen and this is going to be a bigger test than the one when we faced Stuggart i reckon.
We have got to play 2 up top at ibrox to have any chance of progressing however, we shall cross that bridge when we get there.

Thank god you guys don't manage Rangers!
Buffel flatters to deceive. One hard tackle and he goes into hiding. He has no appetite for the physical side of the game and should be punted immediately.
Burke is only any good at Ibrox. He rarely does anything away from home and is another that flatters to deceive.
I'd like to see Gow given a chance because it really isn't fair to keep playing the same guys when some have dodgy form.
Finally for the guy who thought we took off Adam and put on Dailly, try watching the telly properly. Dailly came on for Papac and Naismith came on for Adam.

You like the phrase 'Flatters to deceive eh!! lol

Did you not see Burkey against that Israeli mob last season? Virtually took on the whole team at one point!

it was a scrappy game,i thnk smith got too much credit, using adam at the start because he is more defensive and then bringing on burke towards the end for an enjection of pace.adam should never have started in the first place, he's not good pace, his fitness is poor and he lacks quality.he's a cart-horse and dono understand why smith keeps playing him.fnk the gers have done well, with the players that they have at the minute and are still in contention for 4 trophies.this time last season they wre in contention for nothing.smith has done an excellent job so far although and just hope that they bring in some 'quality' over the summer as they are lacking quality in at least 4 positions.

did you watch buffel agaisnt inter milan when we qualified for the last 16 of the champions league? He was the game winner. he has that spark to create somthing from the wing, just in behind or up top. Buffel is one of the best footballers in the squad and only this will be seen when he is bak in the starting 11

I am a Rangers fan but I must admit that Rangers' overall performance tonight was very ugly to watch!

Why do I keep seeing us win the ball and gain possession only to struggle with what to do next except play the ball back to the keeper who then kicks it back to the opposition resulting in a loss of possession!

Can’t we learn these professionals to play a simple pass backwards or even sideways in order to keep possession - because if we’ve got the ball the opposition can’t score!

Kirk Broadfoot - very poor to say the least!
Ok he's out of position but a decent professional defender should be able to perform at any defensive position surely?

But then again I think that professional footballers should be able to use both feet (even if the non preferred foot is only used to get them out of trouble) and that doesn't happen.

The team’s discipline is poor - they are giving away too many un necessary fouls by shirt pulling, tugging, mouthing off and also lashing out with the odd fly kick after the ball has been won or went out of play.

Why did smith put daily on at right back when there was already a right footed player in this position? (Broadfoot - although he was poor) Daily should have gone to left back instead of moving broadfoot to left back?

If daily is better at right back than broadfoot then why not start him at right back at leave bigfoot/broadfoot on the bench!

Or they could have put Adam at left back since he’s left footed, daily at right back and hooked Bigfoot off!

Thomas Buffel - has FAR more quality than Davis, Adam, Naismith and Burke so why not play him? - If it’s due to the clause in his contract mentioned previously by bayne277 - then I think that he is worth playing and paying the extra cash, and worth keeping not selling. Surely we should consider selling the other players just mentioned before considering to sell Buffel. Compared to these other players, Buffel is one step ahead of play (up stairs) whether he’s on the ball or off the ball.

Thought Ferguson wasn't his usual self but I suppose you’re allowed one off day!

Thought Davis and Adam were poor.

Only my opinion/comment smiley

i see im not the only rangers fan to be angry with the way rangers are playing. charlie adam should not even be in the rangers first team squad, he does nothing for the team, only give the ball away. burke still hasnt hit form to what he was before he got that virus, but he can get it back. just needs to keep playing, hes still the most influentual winger we have. makes something out of nothing. also we have lost our width since alan hutton was flogged to spurs, i still cant beleive we let him go, whats going to be done with the money, hardly will be spent in the summer. broadfoot is not even a close replacement, we shudent have sold hutton til we new a good replacement was being brought in. and i agree with the fellow up there, well not progress playing adam broadfoot and a 451 at home, we made pan. look good the other night, and thats today will the gaffer. he needs to get the passing the ball, that team cant even pass a pass a bit infront of a player so they can run into space, its terrible to watch. needs to be sorted. and players brought in.

can I ask all my fellow rangers fans to do what is most important and get fully behind the team. I agree our 4-5-1 formation is frustrating however the manager decides the team and tactics it is up to us the fans to help the players out on the pitch. Remember Bremen want be looking forward to playing us if we get at them and thats where we the fans need to play at part at Ibrox.
