Before i start, let me just say that i am a Gordon Strachan fan and that this is not a dig at him in the slightest as i think he has been one of the best managers i've seen at Parkhead in years. Also lets not forget MON made some horrific tactical mistakes in European games as well (just before the anti-GS brigade drop some comments).

For me in tonights game we made 4 tactical errors which changed the game:

Mistake 1: We scored two tremendous goals tonight, both from crosses into the box and Barca seemed like they couldn't cope with it. Looking at the striking options available it would be common sense to put the biggest strikers up front and just pump balls into them all 2nd half - therefore at half time Strachan should of taken off McDonald and brought on Samaras so we'd have two good aerial 6foot+ strikers waiting on crosses.

Mistake 2: Taking off Paul Hartley. Barry Robson was on a yellow card and you could see he clearly didn't want to put in any challenges in the middle of the park. When you're playing against the quality Barca have in that area you just cant get away with not putting the boot in. Therefore he should of brought on Donati for Robson and not Hartley.

Mistake 3: Switching McGeady & Nakamura. About 70mins in McGeady moved to the right and Nakamura to the left and it clearly didn't work (they only switched back in the last 5mins). McGeady had made Puyol look like an average defender, he had success getting by him and it's baffling as to why they would switch. Naka had a poor game but his freekick threat meant he was guarenteed to stay on the pitch until the end.

MIstake 4: Starting with Paul Caddis. The boy was clearly out of his depth with the task of marking Ronaldinho.

I feel there is no need for us to not feel proud of the performance (apart from defence) tonight. We had a right go at them (which is more than can be said for our neighbours with their "anti-football") and we're punished with the only mistakes we made. We scored 2 great goals which were European class and all in all we seen a cracking game of football which im sure players from both team will be talking about tomorrow in the papers.

thought u boys were a bit naive last night defensivley holding on to the ball..
and at times barca could have scored at will..
but credit to you boys 3 attacks and 2 goals..

thats the first good game big ronnie has played for 4 months.. the PAPERS here in barcelona claim that the el cracks han vuelto.. WHICH MEANS THAT THE BEST ARE BACK..
we shall see in a few weeks if that is true..

tickets are still on for the return leg by the way..

tactical analysis aside, it was 11 world class players against 11 average to decent players - we were totally outclassed and outplayed but it was a brave effort and 3-2 is by no means an embarassment

our team selection and general play was very naive, but i would have been more embarrassed if we had sat 10 guys behind the ball at home to play for a 0-0. am proud of Strachan for at least intending to try and have a go but it was never happening last night - every one of barcas players was superb (Puyol actually looked like one of their weakest links which just shows how good they were).

overall, proud but can't see us even getting a draw in Barca

Don't agree with Barca having 11 world class players. Valdes is nowhere near as good as Boruc.

Apart from that Barca fully deserved their win. Celtic played poorly - poor passing, poor control all over the field. McGeady hardly had a touch of the ball in the second half. Naka was invisible.

Celtic and Rangers are crap, Barcelona just came out last night to thump Celtic and they didnt care to much about defending lol U got to love Barcelona they belive in real football and buying great players ..

It could of been 6-2...If Celtic defended they would of still lost the game, and at least Celtic gave it a go..

And Celtic will get hammered in Spain 3-0 in to weeks time..

And Barcelona do this to every team, remember that if they played any of the big teams in Europe they would of beat them..

Barcelona are the favorites to win the champions league, the only worry ud have with them is there defending there all over the place at the back, they have the worst defence out of the big teams in Europe..

I don`t think Barca would beat any big team in Europe.
Pure and simply because there defence is suspect...to say the least.
I think Barca are one of the favourites to win it, definately, but they won`t find it as easy as it was last night for them.
And as easy AS IT WAS last night....they still lost 2 goals.

Just wondering also...where was that "legendary" Celtic support in the second half.
I could hear Barca fans but not Celtic fans singing.
Do they only sing when they are winning ? tut tut

.. and look where your 0-0 got you, a place in the last 32 of the uefa while we can enjoy a lucrative game against Barcelona. We were never going to go through so we might aswell give it a go at home. Liverpool got beaten at home by Barca, last campaign, so i suppose that means Rangers are better than them does it? We can enjoy twice as much profit as Rangers while more than halfing our debt which I might add is a lot less than Rangers. Also its obvious we have an extremly poor away CL record but in the matches we try hard and only get beat 3-2 and 1-0 by teams like Man U. and AC. Barcas players were on Sky Sports half an hour before kick oof saying they believed Celtic were a better team than Rangers, I pretty sure this wasnt another 'ploy' to get them to open up. These players who play for a living know much more, about football and what makes a team, than any fans.

ErinBhoy67 comments that he'd like to see McManus and Kennedy at the back, I'm actually going to stick my neck out and suggest that McManus and O'Dea have been the best central defensive combination celtic have played in the last couple of seasons...thoughts chaps?
