even with 'crap average players' he stil managed to go to two finals in 3 years. this is why it is called 'tactics'. something you lot dont need since you can afford £30 odd million on players whenever Fergie fancies them. the difference is, our average players cost £6 million, whilst yours cost £18 million

- utds average players win league titles something "Worldclass" stevie g hasn;t wonok

awesome... Liverpool get beat by Barnsley in the Cup and Liverpool fans on these boards go quiet. a win against Inter and they bleat on about being better than United because of CL success...

Greece won the last EURO championship...i guess that makes them better than the likes of Germany, France, Holland, England etc does it??

A cup win is just that - a cup... many factors can conspire against a team not winning a cup - luck being one of them.

A few years ago, Luton got to the cup final, good achievement though it was, doesnt make them better than say Arsenal who didnt make the cup Final.

Or Monaco getting to the final against Porto; does that make them better than say Barcelona, Real madrid or Milans of this world?

The league, usually over the course of a season, these negative factors even themselves out.... a dodgy decision against you...usually a favourable one later in the season.

Hence the term the league table never lies... only real true test of greatness is winning the league...

Hence why as a United fan I ive tremedous respect to Liverpool's record League haul (albeit that the last win was 18 years ago!!)

And the premiership is not a cup? Come on Liverpool has beaten all the best teams in Europe, the same as utd when they won the cup!

Just watching Inter v Roma.

In-credible theatrics from Crespo gets Mexes sent off... for absolutely nothing!

You'd think Italian refs would know their own footballers by now!

I can see our game in the San Siro escalating into a festival of mime & gymnastics. Just hope the ref, whoever he is, has tuned in to this...

(Roma were winning 1-0 before the sending off, then Inter scored in the 90th min... whistle)

Pretty disgusting, to be honest.

Wot Kuyt 'e did

We deserved our point.

OK we are not in top form, struggling with a lot of injuries but we deserve a point from the game against Roma and we also played 23 mins with 10 men in 2nd half becos of Maxwell injury.

I dont know what you are complaining about. You are already thru to the quarter-finals.

I admit we need a Miracle in beating Liverpool by THREE Clear goals.
We are struggling to score ONE let alone THREE.

YOU might believe that, but the best way for us to commit hara-kiri is by believing it ourselves!

That was the first game you lost in 5 months, apparently, so I don't expect you to do it again next week.

No, I can see you getting 1 goal in the first half & from then on it'll be tooth & nail winkeye

Are Liverpool really a team of CHAMPIONS?

100000000000000000000000000000000-1
for Inter Milan to do the Greatest Comeback of all time and beat Liverpool 3-0 at the San Siro to keep on course for their TREBLE and end their long wait for a Champions League success.

Realistically, its highly unlikely Inter Milan will go through as Liverpool are just seconds away from the next round.

Liverpool are EXPERTS in CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

Inter Milan are struggling badly with injuries, suspensions, lack of goals up-front and leaking too many goals at the back and also finishing the match-off with 11 Players.

I wont keep my hopes up even tho Inter Milan did the Unthinkable by beating Liverpool 3-0 in 2nd leg after Liverpool had a 2 goal advantage from the 1st leg in 1965. (I know Inter payed off the ref etc) Chance of History repeating itself is very little at the moment.

However i will keep praying & believing that we will win by three clear goals vs Liverpool.

Inter have a healthy lead at the top of Serie A, Semi-Final at Coppa Italia, it would be great Injustice for the World of Football & Inter Milan if Inter Milan go out so early in the Champions League - cos we are a team of Champions.

Come on Inter - we can still do it.

For what it's worth I think Inter will win the game but not the tie.

But you never know, 2-0 is possible, with extra time....oh no - would there be penalties??? you're screwed doh

No, not in the same sense as the Champions League, FA and Carling Cup. It is a domestic league doh
