elche 2002/francotirado and?

“Davepearch no at all nd I am not from Spain. But I would rather live there than the UK.
Any sports person should strive to be the best. As long as you dont keep breaking teams commands and dont keep calling the media when is only convenient for you.”

I’m sorry, but I don’t believe you my Spanish friend? By the way, did I say anything rude about Spain, so what’s with the, “I would rather live there than the UK” remark? As for team orders, I thought they were banned after the Australian Grand Prix in 2002, as they are unsporting, in addition, you accused Lewis Hamilton of “keep calling the media” do you have any proof Hamilton was calling the media?

“And for sure you dont stab your teammate specially the top on his league. “

Why do you blame Lewis Hamilton for doing his job, did you expect Lewis Hamilton to just sit back and marvel at Fernando Alonso, of course you did, because for some strange reason, you believe that Lewis Hamilton was obliged to help Fernando Alonso win the 2007 WDC!

“People sort of forget that Hami is doing so well thanks to Alonso's help, tips, experience, mentoring, inspiration and so many other things that we are not aware of. Yet hey see Hami doing so well and by god he is the choosen one.

This spoiled well groomed rockie instead of taking all of that in the most humble & learning way used it to his advantage in trying to walk over the man that has been helping him. Is all about respect and, I dont care how talented you are, you dont do that to a double champ and to a man as talented as Alonso. So yes I REALLY hope that Alonso stops being so chummy with Hamilton in sharing his tips, kindness and mentoring. This kid from Englad hasnt have any class, manners or respect for the man who actually got him in doing so well.”

Your having a laugh!

“That said, as the only Black racer and a rookie he could have been tune in to the fact that our world is no color blinded. “

Quiet right, much of the world is very colour obsessed, but for you to suggest that Lewis Hamilton (1st mixed race rookie F1 driver) should in essence, not speak his mind and be subservient because of fear of being disliked/hated by fans (Or non fans) of 2 x WDC Fernando Alonso is outrageous!
Do you not think that Lewis Hamilton (Plus Anthony Hamilton) have experienced unsavory moments prior to F1 in karting, Formula Renault, Formula Three and GP2?

“Case in point, the Williams sisters. They came into the tennis world just playing their very best, and winning left and right. There is nothing wrong with that. But they were cocky, arrogant and turned off lots of fans and been African-American didnt help at all”

Actually, I’d agree with you regarding Serena, but not Venus, anyway, why are you using this as an example? Hamilton is poles (No pun intended) apart from the Williams sisters? Why didn’t being African-American help?

"McEnroe and Jimmy Conors were the same too and they turned off so many fans. But yet they didnt have to worry about the race issue. Is not fair but that is our world"

Why oh why are you using John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors as a comparison with Lewis Hamilton, what’s the connection? Furthermore, will the taunting incident in Spain affect Lewis Hamilton on the track, I hope not, but let’s wait and see?

"When you look different than someone else yo gotta fight for your talent and for their way you look. YOu have to fight harder than anybody else. Just ask that to any person of color."

So what does that say about the mental strength of sportspersons like Tiger Woods, the William sisters (To name but a few) and now Lewis Hamilton, who managed to finish second in his rookie year in F1?

"Is the same in all aspects of our society. Do you think that if a person is working in the banking industry or whatever and his very first yr he/she comes out as cocky and arrogant they will win too many hearts in that company? They will be a lot of resentments towards them and if they are minority even more."

I’m afraid your analogy is pants, since this person who works in the banking industry (Eleven banks in all) has managed to place this persons bank in the top two (Just missing out on top spot by two pounds) banks in the world, therefore this person would be seen as a benefit to the banks future and all those associated with the bank,
Also, your continued use of cocky and arrogant to describe Lewis Hamilton is wide of the mark; I’d best describe it as self-belief with loads of passion.

"What I am saying is that if I was their parents I would or coach I would guide them a little bit better so they dont get the wrath of some racist or crazy fan."

If I was you're parent I would wash your mouth out with soap and water for having two user names that we know of elche2002/francotiradoseveral, how many others are you hiding behind? In addition, no amount of coaching or guidance given to an up and coming sporting prospect (Especially if the rookie has not followed the script) will ever put a stop to this sort of racist and crazy fan. This applies in particular to the hardcore fan or patriot, you know the type?

"Keep in mind that albeit the Williams sisters behavior they were winning and winning."

Incidentally, Hamilton did win four out of seventeen races, please could you elaborate on, “Here Lewis came out as if F! owned him something. All was given to him on a silver spoon and still he kept acting as if he was F1 saviour or as a 5 times WDC”?

I think this next sentence says more about YOU then your whole article, “So behavior does matter if you are a rookie specially in a White man's sport” winkeye

elche2002/francotirado and?

"Davepearch BTW I got two browsers and depending which one I am using I could also be Elche or Francotirado.

Very first time when I log in I couldnt remember my password so I was confused and had to signed up all over again. Wanted to make this clear. I am a straight shooter."

Francotirado, to be honest I was a little confused by your reply as I've never corresponded with you before! Question, do you ever reply to an article using more then one user name?

I see, so please can you explain why you commented on an article by autounion as elche2002, entitled FA still hacked off?
Then 3 comments later, you make another comment, but this time as francotirado http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/F7837102?thread=4398846&skip=20&show=20

I’m just dying to hear what your excuse is this time? erm

In Spain a few fans call someone a name.

In Britain walked onto the track and could've been killed or killed someone else.

Who has the bigger problem, Spain with a few name-callers or the self-righteous hypocritical British?

I don't understand what you are trying to say but you seem to think that racism is OK? Perhaps you have the bigger problem?

Gravy Train 'Inevitable really. I don't see how the Spaniards can keep getting away with it though. Monkey chanting in the football, Luis Aragones racist comments about Thierry Henry and now this. It shouldn't be isolated to just one sport. Everything should be taken into account and it's happened too many times now for it to be classed as "The Minority" of Spanish people.'..............................You are SPOT ON!!

I must say I do find Alonso's comments in the tabloids disturbing. He apparently said that Hamilton brought the racial abuse upon his own head by Spanish fans because he fell out with Spains no.1 sports personality. So, why did the fans not just comment on Hamiltons perceived arrogance or lack of sporting behaviour, or whatever other problem they had with him. What then, does it have to do with the colour of his skin? The plain fact is that if racism is perceived as acceptable punishment by Alonso, there truly is an inherrent problem in Spain. Kick them out of motorsport and football, as this is a manifest problem in these two sports for a start.
