podguzzle (U7552639) posted Feb 14, 2008 Hamann is a great reader of the game and Sven himself has said that he is the brains behind the team. He has the uncanny knack of being awarded free kicks but that doesn't make him a dirty player. In fact there have been many occasions when he should have been man of the match but such a discreetly effective player tends not to get the limelight. Some of the comments on this page demonstrate that a large proportion of football fans simply don't understand the game.

ECFC-Zandie (U10745630) posted Feb 14, 2008 Rubbish, yeah he has commited a lot of fouls this season, but he has been great, considering at the beginning of the season Sven wanted to get rid of him and Didi said he would fight for his place and he's done that really well :D

Wil (U1871307) posted Feb 15, 2008 I cannot believe some of the comments I have just read. He is not a dirty player by any means, but he makes me cringe half the time when he goes in for challenges. He gets caught in posession so many times its untrue. To say hes the brains of the outfit leaves me speechless. Cant wait for Johnson to get back so we can have some slick movement with Elano again. I dont think a game can end until he gets booked. He was lucky to stay on the pitch against Utd.

realmanc (U8366121) posted Feb 15, 2008 I cant accept that his talents outweigh his disgusting, unsporting beahviour. he may be good, he may play an important role, but if the guys going to foul, dive and cheat at every possible oppurtunity i cannot justify in my mind, his place in the starting line up. He needs to be disciplined and acquire some morals. until then, my opinion of him will remain low. Comment on this article
