Trapattoni poised to take Republic role
Monday, 11 February 2008 10:07
Giovanni Trapattoni has been appointed as the next Republic of Ireland manager, according to a report in today's Irish Examiner.

The FAI three-man selection committee travelled to Austria to meet with the Italian legend who the paper believes will commence his new role when his contract with Red Bull Salzburg expires in May.

FAI chief executive John Delaney could fly out to meet Trapattoni's advisors in the next 24 hours to put the finishing touches to a deal that could be worth in the region of €1.4million per year.

"yea the man that led the world through its darkest hour and inspired it to win the battle for humnity over the nazis and the end of the world as we knw it" – blimey, where on earth did you do history? Hindsight’s a grand thing though, isn’t it? - When you’ve finished re-writing history would you mind giving us back the head of Sean Russell or have you sold it for scrap metal?

Anyway, just to get things back on to football "the man that led the world through its darkest hour and inspired it to win the battle for humnity" I thought that was Big Jack that did that?

Garrincha legend,
if you hate England so much, how come you claim to be a Manchester United "fan"?

We're America in the war during The Battle of Britain? Surely hjad that battle been lost, the Nazis would have conquered Europe. To the west there was little Ireland to capture, would they have bothered, though? Garrincha go support Shelbourne.

This post is discussing everything but the subject at hand. As an Irishman, I must say I thoroughly approve.
