soubanker (U10795325) posted Feb 9, 2008 The only way that Yakubu can make money for his backers is to keep moving clubs - Boro found out the hard way. Just watch - he will turn in some stinking games so that Moyes will get rid - go to next club for top shillings - do exactly the same .It's just a business cycle - mark my words !!!!!

School_Of_Science (U10816640) posted Feb 9, 2008 He missed out on 2 days of preparation for a game, turns up the day before without telling the boss he'd be late. He SHOULD be dropped. We have the players capable of stepping in for him. He wasn't at Everton when we finished 4th and 6th, we can win games without him, he isn't suddenly the most important member of the team.

Toblerone Boots (U1756232) posted Feb 9, 2008 It's a tough one - Moyes is disciplining him for taking the p1ss which is right, but by dropping him he's potentially risking the club losing points - at a time in the season when we simply can't afford to!

tre101 (U10383126) posted Feb 9, 2008 Everton under Moyes works from great team spirit. The same punishment for all players at all levels would make sense to me. He pays his fine gets dropped for a game and that is the end of it. No more is said.

ArmchairPro (U1794726) posted Feb 9, 2008 The Moyessiah has never been one to take rubbish or use double standards with his players. This news doesn't surprise me at all - either Yak being late or the disciplinary action.

jazz73 (U10919752) posted Feb 9, 2008 I think the fact that Yakubu's fellow countryman, Yobo arived on time contributed towards the manager's decision. They both played in the same tournament and for the same country, one arrives on time, the other doesn't. You'd need a good reason to escape the wrath of management with that.

jazz73 (U10919752) posted Feb 9, 2008 PompeyFCUK,I know what you mean about not being committed to any cause, his attitude does at times give off that vibe. Even in Nigeria,it is believed he's not committed to the National team. I hope he changes, cause he can be really effective when he's serious.
