comment on the article

Just thought i'd see who followers of the African Cup of Nations think will win it.

I think the smart money would have to go on Ivory Coast but Ghana at home run them very close.

What d'you all think?

FROM WHAT WE HAVE SEEN SO FAR,I STRONGLY BELIEVE THE EGYPTIANS WILL DEFEAT THE CAMEROONIANS BASE ON THE FACTORS.
(1)THE EGYPTIANS PLAY MORE OF THE BRAZILIAN TYPE OF FOOTBALL AND ALSO BECAUSE THEY HOLD ON TO THEY BALL FOR A LONG TIME,IT WILL BE DIFFICULT FOR THE LIONS TO THEM ROUGH.
(2)THE LIONS DEFENCE MARSHAL BY SONG IS VERY AGGED.THEY RECOVERING RATE IS SLOW COMPARE TO THE FASTNESS OF THE EGYPTIANS.
THE EGYPTIANS WILL CARRY THE DAY.

With the Lions improving at each game, there are no doubts that the egyptians will be thier next prey.

look no further than Egypt to hold this years cup ..Egypt are in a highly impressive form and have a solid squad that is so capable of lifting the cup they highly deserve ..for me the final was on thursday and Egypt has already proved the whole world wrong and did not only win but won in spectacular fashion to destroy the elephants ship ..its a matter of hours to find out but for me anything but Egypt lifting the cup will be a great surprise and totally unfair!

The simple fact tt Cameroon reached the final shows the quality of their football.
Cameroon history / talent is not arguable.
And this in fact what will add value to Egypt win tomorrow!

In light of the last game between Egypt and Cameroon on Jan the 22nd 2008, The Cameroon coach Otto Pfister and his team should be more realistic about their expectation. Other then the game they played with Egypt, they have played with not especially strong teams. They only accomplishment was that they beat Ghana which in itself also had big star names, but lacked in strategy and formation, renders the Cameroon results as above average.
Realistic expectation would be a 1-0 or 2-1 loss to Egypt since they have improved their game since the opening game with Egypt.

Curious to hear more on what the Cameroon fans have to say about the final game tomorrow. Samuel Eto'o is truly a master of his game. But, is he enough to overcome the curse of the Pharaohs?

Egyps has betaen Cameron already (4-2)in their opening match. Given Cameron's pedigree, that was a big win. Then a few days ago they did it again by beating Ivory Coast 4-1. That too was a big victory since Ivory Coast, until then, scored 13 goals in the competition and conceded only one. In addition, the Pharoahs won all their games so far and drew only once. If common sense is any thing to go by they should win tomorrow. smiley

even if egypt didn't win the cup...we are more than satisfied with our performance..we showed to the world that we got good quality players who play good organized football..we didn't get scared from the names of etoo, manucho or drogba..but ofcourse i do respect these players and their talent..but we got talent maybe not playing in a big european club..but they are talented and discplined players..our players got the passion, desire and they love their country and that what we need...we dont need a professional player who play for himself not for the team..who is scared to get injured becasue we got a lot of thing to do back in europe..that kind of players we dont want to have...and really i dont care if our players play in europe or not..because it turned out that its not a big deal...and having a lot of european based player doesn't give any advantage when you face another team....and good luck egypt...i can smell the cup from here
