Should the Premier League go abroad?

Premier League
comment on the article

The Premier League is looking into the possibility of teams playing a 39th game in their season - abroad.

The one-off round of games could take place after the weekend of the third round of the FA Cup in January.

Several destinations - US, south-east Asia and Dubai - could be interested in staging Premier League games, such is the demand for English football around the globe.

The points won in these one-off games would count towards teams' end-of-season totals, meaning they could be the difference between winning and losing the title and staying up or suffering relegation.

We are very keen to hear your thoughts on this provisional idea which could revolutionise English football.

Hi Ceannair!!!
We are not glory hunting fans and we didnt jump on bandwagon now... we have been supporting the club through and through since early 90's ...but obviously with the help of satellite tv...
that dosen't mean we are not fans of the club...

Hi WoolstonLittleSaint,
Bristol City Vs Birmingham match may not produce much money now... but in years say 5 if the clubs remains in top flight they will make money...that's for sure...that's what Globlization and diversifying a business is all about...

We are fans we talk about passion, glory, winning performances, but for the Foreign Owners its a business nevertheless...

Let the owners who invest money make profit, let us enjoy a good game of football...

It's Ms Ceannair actually

Okay, so you're not glory hunters.

So, why support a team miles away ? If you are a true football fan why not support a local side ?

Why choose a side the other part of the globe ? Couldn't be that in the early 90s Man U finally won the league ?

Hunter of the glory, and there are a lot around.

Which is fine - support who you like, but we will not jet round the world to help the chairmen sell more replica shirts in the Asian market.

Ms Ceannair,
You want foreign owners money for your club, you want foreign players to take your club to glory, you want foreign supporters money to pay for the Stadia, Players...but you dont want them to see a live match in their country..huh ?
Because you regularly buy a season ticket and watch the match and support the club cause they originated in your region..it dosen't make you are the only true fan
A fan is a true fan for the club when he is loyal for the club, support the club through adversity...and most importantly respects a fellow fan...who feels sad for the hurt fans in a away...who toils about the lost points..missed glory...there is no confinement of region...language..race...or geographic location.
I watched my firt Manchester United game vs Newcastle in T.V at my age of 15, i didnt know about english premier league then... i didnt know about they are the champions then.. i just got lost in the quality and excitement of the match ...obviously Manchester United own the game..i fell in love with their play and started watching the games...
You have know rights to say who should watch what and who should support whom...
