Glynowen1 (U10997910) posted Feb 5, 2008 I dont think Mark Jones should have been dropped! i mean, he was playing against a Tonga powerhouse. Not many people can compete with him. Gethin should also be starting, apart from that, i can't see much wrong.

theblindside (U3728481) posted Feb 6, 2008 I thionk the front 3 did ok in the set piece against england. Jenkins' impact was really in the loose. He's not a tight head- at least not for 80 minutes-so I think coming off the bench works fine for him at the moment and the team. Du Jones is an out and out loose head so with the props in the squad at present I think this is the best combination as Geth can prop either side.

Tom_Criddle (U10766831) posted Feb 6, 2008 Gatland has said he thought Popham deserved a yellow card against England (you don't hear coaches say that often) and conceeds too many penalties. I think he probably had the one at the end of the first half in mind, when he put a great tackle in on Shaw close the Wales try line but then fell on top of him and didn't roll away. It was his second penalty in 5 minutes, as pointed out by Butler on commentary and so close to the line could easily have been a card. It is very harsh on him but it's still refreshing to see the coaches are hard to please and easy to displease. He will bounce back I'm sure.

zxDaveM (U4578678) posted Feb 6, 2008 think we'll edge out Scotland this coming Saturday; their backs looked pretty clueless and although the Scottish pack will probably edge ours for possession, we'll probably do more with what we get. SO glad they have stayed with Dan Parks - probably the worst #10 in the 6N. Lets hope we don't give too many shots at goal for Patterson to kill us with.

nomoregarethjenkins (U10886073) posted Feb 6, 2008 Wales won't win the grandslam till 2032! Remember its a 27 year cycle. Although beating England was a 6 year cycle, and now we have beaten them 3 times in the last 4 six nations games! What a turnaround, so anythings possible!

triscamehome (U7610036) posted Feb 8, 2008 mark jones should not be in the welsh team period, and anyone who is whining about the amount of ospreys should think back to gj and the amount of scarlets who kept their place when they shouldn't have(peel, jones, rees.) I am a dragons fan and I am dissapointed there is no Kev Morgan or Micheal Owen in the 22, but get real people, without the exception of an IN FORM Dwayne Peel and Shanks who else could he pick? Maybe Morgan on the wing, but thats it.
