Capello promised he would address the players only in english
at his first get together.

We questioned whether he would be able to after his press conference.

Well he did that and more. He surprised the english players with his english ability and surpassed their expectations if anything.

This is only a small detail but bodes well for the future.
The guy is doing his best to deliver.

Lets all get behind him..

I wouldn't get carried away, Capello has been a defensive Manager for years and doesn't like to play attacking Football, That's the reason why Real Madrid got rid of him. A scappy 2-1 win for England

who better to take the job? Other candidate would have been Lippi if he was available.

Lippi cannot speak english at all.

Capello only needs a few words to get his message across:

'You are sh**!'

'Work! Now!'

'I hate losing!

'You defend, you pass, you score! ok?'

It's early days yet but if Capello can instill self-confidence, that should go a long way for a win. A major problem has been in the past, a collosal lack of self-confidence and disipline.
As far as attack at any cost is concerned, how stupid can you get??!! The swiss are not layabouts, they will be looking for a confidence boost as hosts of the tournament! A well organised and confident aggressive game would do for a start!

England 10 - 2 Switzerland

Croatia 2 - 1 Netherlands
Czech Republic 3 - 0 Poland
Austria 0 - 3 Germany
Italy 2 - 1 Portugal
N.Ireland 2 - 0 Bulgaria
Rep Ireland 0 - 1 Brazil
Wales 3 - 0 Norway
Spain 1 - 1 France

England will win comfortably.

However Italy Vs Portugal - what a friendly match that will be.
Lets see if C.Ronaldo can produce the form he is producing for Man U for Portugal.

What is alarming is Capellos remarks about how many English players he can choose from, a Nationalistic agenda supported by Sepp Blatter.
=======================
EPL=English/Welsh/Scottish/Irish+EU+Foreigners.
That means that more national teams than other countries of similar population have players in the EPL.
That is where the 38% comes from.Nationalistic?
The argument about one country with 4 national teams is n ot new (4 nations).Who is nationalistic?

None of the england team are the 'best players in the world' - if they were they would be off at the euros this summer - look how Croatia tore you apart - just because only a few of their players play in the premier league doesn't mean they are inferior. They are technically superior - that was borne out over the whole qualifying series - Rio may be one of the better defenders in the premiership but get a grip - best in the world - that's such a bold statement - how much world football do you watch to come to come to that conclusion?
-------------------------
Is it possible to "tear someone apart" at 3-2? No. And the fact that only a few of their players play in the EPL, isn't a problem, their getting beat 3-0 by Holland on Wednesday is though. Croatia are not a good team. The fact that we do not qualify does not mean that they are a good team or that we are a bad team. Wrexham knocked Arsenal out of the F.A. Cup in the 1991/1992 season when Arsenal were reigning league champions. Get real. These things happen. To return your own question to you "how much world football do you watch"? Football history is full of bad teams qualifying for tournaments and good teams not qualifying for tournaments. A football match is not a chemical experiment: you do not get a thoroughly predictable breakdown of essential qualities. There is luck. There are matches played on watered down plastic pitches. There are penalties given against you in Russia when you are 1-0 up for infringements clearly outside the box. There is a confederacy of dunces who take turns to wear the No.1 shirt and let ever more harmless shots from distance in.

But the stupidest thing you write is your opening statement. A fair few of the England squad are indeed amongst the best players in the world. Your denial of this status to players like Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney and, for all his injury and other career problems, Michael Owen, outs you as a fake football supporter twisted by nationalistic hatred.

Capello is my soul mate.

He is my doppelganger.

He is playing the england team just like I would.

I have faith because i am a genius and Capello does the same things i would do.

I boldly predict we will
win the world cup as long as do not meet italy or brazil before the final ok
