That chap, Jimmy Bullard, looks rubbish

Fantastic goal. He also created Davies' goal.

How Fulham have missed him eh. How many games did he play after his transfer from Wigan, before he got injured? Fulham might just stay up this year under Mr. Hodgson, I suspect.

what a result...im chuffed to bits and delighted for bullard and hodgson. we definitly deserved it today against an oddly weak villa team. the best performance by the team for months. as well as the outstanding bullard, i was really impressed with hangeland who looks a decent new signing and nevland looked lively.

come on you whites, i know think we can stay up.

I am so happy. Its all coming together:
-Brians back.
-Jimmy is on fire.
-The 4-5-1 was working well.
-Hangeland looks like the best defender since Goma.
-Andreasen didnt stop running.
-Nevland had some nice flicks.

What a great win!

We played very well in the 2nd half but i was a bit confused by RH tactics in 1st half. We played Nevland on his own in a game we needed to win, odd, did not have Johnson playing, anyone know why i am sure there is a reason, Baird at right back instead of Volz, although those who booed him should be ashamed. In the 2nd half we were so much better, Kamara was brilliant but i think he should stay as an impact sb as should McBride, them coming on at the same time worked brilliantly and when Johnson plays he should start with Nevland. Midfield was brilliant, Murphy gave the ball away a bit too much otherwise everyone played well, even Baird started taking some time on the ball instead of panicking. COYW we can stay up, also was anyone on the Fulham road when that gang of about 20 villa fans were walking in the middle of the road saying ho we were gonna go down, ha ha how bitter and sad, the rest of them were good though and loud though did not get why they booed S.Davies, cana villa fan clarify for me.

"and players who haven't shown their faces for about 5 years (eg Bullard)"

Erm....I'm no Fulham fan but hasn't he been injured for the last 18 months?!
I watched the game with my Villa mate and he was the best player on the field by some way. Great buy by Coleman.
I am a big fan of Roy Hodgson (never been appreciated as he should be in this country) but if Fulham go down, they only have Al Fayed or whoever's in charge to blame.
Imagine where you'd be if Coleman had've been given £30million to spend and not Lawrie "Long-Ball" Sanchez.

They'd have been in a bigger financial mess!

Let's be honest, Chris Coleman isn't a top flight manager (nor a Segunda Divison manager winkeye)

Jimmy Bullard's free kick was beautiful! It actually competes with the best free kicks this season, the best three are:
1 Elano
2 Ronaldo
and now
3 Bullard.
Sorry, V.Persie has been relegated to 4th position!

Looked better organised than for along time and finally got some impetus with a win. Prompted by Bullard, Davies scored a smart goal. No doubt that Bullard has given midfield more focus. The new guys did all you could ask. This has got us back close to the struggling pack and ideally we need a couple of back to back wins to get among that group. Baird seems to have replaced Melville and Knight as the whipping boy, when the mistakes are'nt always his. A couple of hospital passes from Murphy and a failure to call by Niemi put the guy under the cosh. Volz on the bench presumably was cover for RB and RMF. The team overall played well, even Diomansky chased back and was upended spectacularly to give Jimmy B the chance to slot home the perfect free kick.

Jimmy getting injured last season was the start of the slide, maybe, just maybe, his return is the start of the climb back up.

At last we can put out a team of guys with something to prove. The last months of Coleman's time saw too many players going through the motions, and while Sanchez did at least cull some of the drifters he didn't replace them with the right quality, or get the best out of what was left.

Long way to go still, but there's still 13 games. Hey it's those relegation defying 1960's again!
