This is a little premature as they are still playing, but Els just got his ball wet on 18, effectively handing the title to Tiger unless he chips in over the water.
So, what of Tiger's round? Awesome! So much for the 'can't win a tournament if not leading on the final day' tag that has dogged him.
Thoughts?

Unfortunately Tiger Woods got lucky over the last 9 holes. He is an amazing player, but he sunk 2 long putts, he would not have expected to make, and others around crumbled. He in no way decimated the field. The sooner he decides he needs the best driver for him, rather than the best that Nike can make, the sooner he will be 5 shots better per round than the rest of the field each time he tee's the ball up.

Tiger is without question by far the best player of his generation. Whether he turn out to be the best ever time will tell.I think he will.
But he is not unbeatable, no sportsperson is, particularily in a sport like golf.
There is a lot of nonsense written about in what circumstances he can and cannot win. The guy is human and will on occassions mess up, but dont rely on that happening very often. Good luck to him, what a wonderful role model for all youngsters.

What a win for Woods!! One of the greatest comebacks recently...South Africans tend to choke a lot (take the cricket team for example) and Els showed us how....I was lucky enough to watch Round 2 in Dubai but it was extremely windy and dusty, so came back early. Woods wasn't playing at his best that day.

Kaymer also impressed me, but the most surprising part was how Els messed it up after leading for the whole part of the day. The pressure from the 'Tiger' eventually got to him. What won Tiger the match was the beautiful putt for a birdie in the 18th. The celebrations proved it..smiley

Unfortunately although the media machine promotes a wonderful role model, the experience on the course close up is a little different. I have been with younger Children near him and have been embarrased (for him) at his petulance and swearing. Unfortunately the power of the name means that the media don't report this...

JT-Blue it was the chip in the won it for him. He just took off from there. Had he missed the putt at 18 he would have still been in a playoff.

I just wish Woods realised how much more competition he gets on the European Tour than in America and wanted to play more often. You dont see him go ape like that on the 18th when he puts a 3 footer to win by 8 shots.

When asked what was sweeter between his two victories this year, I was a bit disappointed to hear him say he prefered winning by 8 shots. I dont think he really means that.

Tiger wants to be challenged.

In fact that was the start of his revival. He was not going good before that but after that chip he was just incredible...
