Glenn Ferguson was the Linfield hero after the substitute's late double gave the Blues a 3-2 victory over Crusaders in the CIS Cup final.

Linfield striker Peter Thompson hit the bar in a poor first half before firing his side ahead on 46 minutes.

David Rainey (54) levelled and Seamus Brown (77) slotted into the bottom corner to give the Crues a 2-1 lead.

But Ferguson (86) equalised with a header to make it 500 career goals before the veteran striker stabbed the ball home to win it with a minute left.

So what did you think of the game? Did Linfield deserve to win?
And give your views on Ferguson's remarkable goalscoring achievement.

no by far the greatest of displays but how great was it to see spike finally get his 500th, and 501st goal, what a legend biggrin

The Crues got their tactics perfectly right. Helped ever so slightly by a disjointed Linfield midfield. What let them down was the blatant timewasting (by the keeper in particular) and the over physical nature of some of their play..... (not the Hatchetmen for nothing). So the end result was poetic justice in my opinion.
