Spurs are playing well and deserve their lead.United are having a shocker along with Mark Clattenberg. 3 ball to hand incidents 2 for united resulting in united players Van der Saar, Ronaldo and Hargreaves being booked.

1 for spurs resulting in play on and the goal for Berbatov. United's passing has been diabolical in the first 45 mins with nearly everyone being guilty in particular Giggs. Nearly everything Giggs has touched has gone astray.

Evra was blatantly pushed off the ball on the edge of the 6 yard box. Normally that would be given as a penalty as its a foul but Clattenberg doesn't see it. Once again officials having a major negative impact on a important premiership game.

I feel a big hair dryer treatment coming on at half time.

2nd Half Carrick is on for Hargreaves I hope this doesn't backfire as he was the only one that showed a bit of bottle in the first half.

2 huge moments Ronaldo pushed in the back by Dawson it seemed on the edge of the 6yrd box and in the resulting attack by spurs at the other end Robbie Keane clear through only to shoot tamely straight at Van der Saar. United looking a little better possession wise this half but lack energy. Bring on Nani and Anderson I say.

Nani and Anderson are on but Nani is lucky to be still on the field. Booked for a nasty challenge on Chimbonda which could easily have been red considering the mood Clattenberg is in.
Another yellow now for Vidic nearly half the team on a yellow card now. Dawson elbows Van de Saar in the face and nothing.

Against the run of play a great run and shot by Anderson resulting in a great save. Wasted opportunity by Ronaldo shooting lamely wide only 12 mins left plus stoppage time now the game seems to be opening up slightly. Boateng is on for Lennon.

2 quick chances in succession wasted by Nani in dangerous positions. United definitely looking more dangerous now but running out of time. Rooney booked for diving and will now miss the city game. This afternoon just keeps getting better..not!

Oh Yeaahhh great pressure from United at the end... Carlos Tevez scores at the near post deep in stoppage time and its over it ends 1-1. Could be a very important point saved!

As an Arsenal supporter I have to say that I was pleased with the result.
BUT
I alos have to say that I was v. impressed by the way Man U kept up the pressure playing tight and pushing forward especially in the last 15 mins. This is what teams who are top of the table do and exactly what makes them hard to beat.
They didnt make a fan of me, but credit where it is due .

Dont get me wrong it is frustrating that Spurs drew the game however we can take a lot of positives from this.
What I think is sad and to be honest typical of Man Utd is that they cant accept the fact that at times they were outplayed etc.
I find it funny that in other games this season Man Utd have had some decisons go there way and you dont see Fergie complain about that do you !

WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS GAME? IT'S DONE AND DUSTED, WE ARE MOVING ON. TALKING ABOUT IT OVER AND OVER WON'T CHANGE ANYTHING!

.................................................

Well, it may have escaped your attention but people are still discussing the game as this is a forum page on which people discuss the game. It seems rather counter-productive for you to go onto a forum page discussing a football game to instruct people to not discuss the game. What do you expect people to do on here? Fashion advice? Recipe tips? I believe you should 'move on' and leave people to it! smiley

not really, as Man Utd may have been out of cup tournaments that Spurs played in such as the Carling Cup

This game proves the point that Ronaldo can quite easily be shackled by a top class defender (in this instance Woodgate).

From the United view this game again showed that we needed to bring in another striker. There is no arguement that Rooney and Tevez have the quality but there is no out and out striker on the bench to bring in for games like this. Fergie was left making like for changes in his midfield which had little impact on the match.

I would have taken a point in this game considered on its own merits but the players should have dug deeper when they saw the result of City's earlier surrender. Arsenal are running out of games in which to slip. Forgetting inter-top 4 clashes they have now come away from Everton, Spurs, City, Villa, Pompey & West Ham having dropped just 2 points in them (compared to United's 10)

From United's point of view Fergie needs to pray Saha gets fit or this will happen again, particularly away from home. He also needs to start playing Nani ahead of Giggs who has been dreadful for the majority of the season and decide on a midfield pairing. Carrick & Scholes works as does Hargreaves & Anderson. Other various combinations have looked less effective.

Under ramos we look like such a stronger team who can deal with the top four clubs. Once again our concentration levels dropped on that corner where there was no defenders on either posts or with Tevez but im trying to not look at the negatives. The fact is we passed the ball around a United team who will win the league. We made them look like a mid table team. Dont get me wrong they still played good football beacause its Man United but the way our defenders eased out the likes of Ronaldo and Rooney was imense. Iv also noticed how much jenas has improved and the way he breaks away and makes them third man runs in midfield is better and more important than people think. Jenas deserves to start agaisnt Switzerland and see how he copes. The carling cup is ours if we play how we can.

can i apologise for my fellow man utd fans, who give us all a bad name. it wasnt a hand ball, rooney did dive, and our players (and spurs' players in fairness) complained to the officials way too much. we mite have had a couple of penalties, but so mite they. overall, they were better first hlf, we were better second, clatten berg was s**t throughout and a draw was the fair result.

ps. arsenal fans; that was a more difficult match than you've had to face for a while. just imagine, four points lead if you hadnt drawn at home to the brummies...
