Micah impressed by Capello start

International England
comment on the article

Micah Richards missed out on Fabio Capello's first game in charge of England - a back injury kept him out of Wednesday's 2-1 win over Switzerland.

But in his latest column Micah reveals what it was like in the England training camp under Capello and how the Italian's approach affects him and his team-mates.

Micah also talks about the role that his old Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce plays in the new England set-up.

He looks ahead to Sunday's derby game against Manchester United and talks about remembering the Munich air disaster.

On Friday, Micah signed a new five-and-a-half-year deal to commit himself to City until 2013.

If you want to ask him any questions about his new contract and why he has signed it, or about any other subject, please submit them below using 606 and I will use as many as I can when I speak to him next - just to remind you, Micah doesn't participate in the discussions on 606 himself.

"During training on the day of the game I tweaked my back when I went in for a slide tackle and when I got up I could not bend my back properly. "

Got that excuse in pretty quick, I see.

What is it that Sven brings to the club that you think has brought him so much success in his previous stints like in Italy?

He had a solid game, defended well and supported well up the right.

Also he had a far better game than A.Cole on the left, yet the Cole as alwys avoids the stick because he was slipping because of his boots (Change them at half time if it was a problem, no excuse for playing poorly) Wayne Bridge is superior to Cole now and has been for a while.

Richards, if anything, should start alongside Rio in the centre of defenfence.

And too Micah

Q: having been in the England set up for quite a few matches now, who do you think has the best leadership skills to be named as the long term captin?

I can't see why people are knocking him, he is an excellent talent.

My question would be when you scored the goal against Aston Villa (i think) in the FA cup after just a few games into your career, did you see youself breaking into the England squad so quickly?

Q: What (type of) player do you aspire to be like? If you set yourself a perfect role-model or someone you wish to emulate in world football, who would it be?

Do you see yourself as an early bloomer or do you have teh stamina and drive to last 16+ years of a year?
