No Defoe, then No Benjani move Harry says. This one is really goin down to the wire and all depends on the little former Hammer.

so we're selling ish for 1.5, and buying benjani for what, 8 mil? i really dont rate him, ye he's been decent this year, but he has been proper [anths for pompey his last two seasons, and he's 29! i thought he was only 26 max, i hope this dosent go through
so whats the fee for benjani? 8 million???decent player but could do better for that money dont you think?
Could be risky particularly if he becomes the Benjani of last year!

i cant believe we sold miller for 1.5miland brought in a striker for 5mil with a 1 in 4 goal tallywe need betterim disapointed with sven in the transfer market this january.
It has still not been announced that Benjani has officially signed for City and its nearly 3pm on friday. So it looks like he is still a Portsmouth player. This now leaves an ackward situation for both clubs. Man City are obviosly short of a forward and Portsmouth are stuck with Benjani who they were willing to let go to make room for Defoe. It also seems that the Benjani move was providing the cash flow for Portsmoth to buy Defoe. Listening to the Harry Redknapp interview this morining it seems the correct forms did not come through from Manchester City's end despite telling Portsmouth they had sent the correct forms...Looks like a law suit could follow
Benjani couldn't find City's ground because when he stopped to ask directions to "the best place in Manchester" he found hiself in a 24 hour Tescos
4thecaptainAdmitting either Old trafford isnt in manchester or tescos has more atmosphere than Old trafford? Very discerning of you.
I'm kind of surprised at Sven. The way he let Samaras and Bianchi go it made you think he had a plan like he had over the summer. He definitely didn't. He never should have let Bianchi go...I'm sure any other manager wouldve told him "your here till the summer." He'll have to rely on Storridge now and the no-body Ecuadorian.Bad January for City, striker situation went from bad to worse.
