Liverpool supporters are to launch an ambitious plan to buy the football club from its current American owners.

The Share Liverpool FC Group is to reveal plans for a buy-out of the club by 100,000 Reds fans around the world.

The model proposed will be a Barcelona style, "member-share" scheme, aimed at raising £500m to purchase the club from its US owners and build a new stadium.

As well as UK-based fans, a website will be launched to attract interest from Liverpool's supporter base around the world, particularly in East Asia.

Can the fans succeed in their aim of taking over the club as supporters of some lower division clubs have done or will George Gillett and Tom Hicks remain in charge at Anfield?

I have been a Liverpool supporter since I ever knew about football and I firmly believe that Rafa should stay, he's won the Champion's League and the FA Cup in his first two season's and no, C16, he didn't win those with Houillier's team, he built his own with a bit of help from the old ones.

I think that Liverpool should have faith in their manager, remember, Shankly didn't have the best of starts and he didn't win a trophy in seven years and yet he's regarded as the best Liverpool manager ever, so I think that we should have faith and let Rafa be.

How can you say he built his own team? How many of the players in the final were ones that he brought in? I want YOU to answer me that question as it will prove i'm right!

Liverpool fans are very passionate fans so it will be easy to find 100,000 fans with £5,000.

There are 2 questions

1) Will the fans listen to the powerful word of the media?
2) Will both owners sell?

The americans have had there time to impress and (thankfully) they havent impressed us... we need them out now and anything can be better than them so bring on the Share Liverpool FC group allthough i dont think alot of Liverpool fans will agree on things because some liverpool fans i know didnt want Torres at the club and thought it would be a big mistake...

I disagree. The owners supplied the money for our two outstanding players this season, Masch and Torres.

Rafa will stay and so will the owners. They have been put in their place and will remain there.
