Time for clubs to take responsibility!!!

Absolute joke! Another game at Motherwell called off. My mate has just phoned me beeling. He's walking up to the ground to be told it's off, he's spent a bucket load of money getting there for no reason.

IMO the clubs should be reprimanded for not taking the appropriate steps to ensure the pitches are playable. Im not saying in extreme conditions, but tonight the state of that pitch is a joke considering the relatively little amount of rain that has fallen in the last 48 hours.

Clubs hum and haw over buying pitch protection because of the expense, well if a club fails to have its pitch in a playable condition then they should be made to repay every away fan for the price of their ticket and give free entry at the replay, or the fixture should be moved back to the oppositions ground as punishment.

As a fan my Wed night is ruined, and I feel for the fans who have travelled..

Ridiculous situation for our so called top flight league!

Enough people thankfully are interested in other teams, just not enough of them: and it's not necessarily in spite of the OF coverage - it's because of it.

Scottish football would be just fine without the OF, it would probably improve as it would be more competitive therefore more exciting. Not just the big bully boys who think they have every right to win everything oh and keep all the money oh and their fan base, well we won't get into that. Bye.

Im sorry, I know im a Celtic fan so my opinion will count as biased but the fact still remains that if the OF wern't in Scotland the league would not get anywhere near the coverege it gets. It would only be broadcast in Scotland.

Because of Celtic signing Nakamura Setana gives celtic a 20% share of the costs allocated due to the Japanese deal, the rest is distributed via the rest of the SPL teams, is this fair since they have done nothing for that extra income?

Without the OF there would be a more competative league. However the money would disapear completly as the league would only sell the rights in Scotlana and no where else. You can not blame the OF for being in Glasgow and have bigger fan bases. Because of the OF lots of Scottish players get CL experience. The Scottish league would not become better without the OF, the league would become like the bulgarian league where the country can still produce quality players but the league standard would be very low

Yep your right.

All the clubs outside the OF should do their own TV deal. Why should we subscribe to Setanta to watch OF games. You have to remember your big and glorious team is playing the same teams we play in the League.

Plus I disagree that all your fans are from Glasgow. They are from all around Scotland, thousands from Motherwell.

I don't care if the Scottish game didn't get coverage outside Scotland who cares apart from OF fans and the next venture to try and bleed as much money out their fans as possible.

I hope the OF go to the premiership, in my opinion you will not be missed here at all, and when the big sky bubble bursts and the game implodes on itself, sit back and have a right good laugh.

You are the biased one mate. I go to Celtic games and I can assure you most of the fans are glaswegian.

No one would buy the tv rights to teams like Motherwell. Im sorry, im not trying to upset you but its true. They have a good season every 5 years and then nothing, no one cares enough about them. If the OF disapeared and glasgow wasn't here then Hibs and Hearts would take over, its just the way it is. No league ever has 6 or 7 teams fighting for the title.

So you are from Glasgow?

I am not biased at all I gave an opinion. The attitude you have is biased. We are the big boys and everyone else get in line behind us eh!!!!

I think all Scottish clubs should unite against the monopoly of the OF. You are not as big as you think you are.

Plus I can assure you at least half your support is not from Glasgow.

Why don't you call up Celtic park and ask them what the average season ticket allocation % have a Glasgow postcode, they will check it out for you or maybe not, try getting someone on the inside to do it for you ok

What a WUM!!!! Im being realistic, of course I would prefer to have a better league and for more teams to be competiting. I hate the English saying its a 2 team league

But the fact of the matter is they are right and unless another SAF comes along soon and transforms a potential big club like Dundee United, Aberdeen, or any of the Edin teams then its gona carry on the way it is.

But if you have a cracking idea on how to drastically change football the way its been in Scotland that no one else has thought of why don't you go and tell the Motherwell board how to compete with the OF, imbicele!!

You have people on here from Motherwell and Aberdeen etc claiming that we are surrounded by thousands of OF fans but apparently this is not the case - we clearly must be imagining them all, then?
