Away Kit

Reading

Right this may sound off the wall but I have now officially had it with our grey two-tone strip. Remember Man Utd complaining about their grey strip some moons ago saying it was difficult to pick out the players against the crowd? Lame excuse for poor performance or the truth? Frankly if we give the ball away as poorly as we have done this season wearing this monstrosity, I put it to all Royals fans that we revert to last seasons away kit were even the blind could spot someone wearing it. I know this sounds a daft idea but cmon, we are better than not having an away win all season & anything is worth a shot....

All credit to Reading, They put up a great fight, As regards to the kits, Anyone who remembers Ripping Yarns 'Golden Gordon' ....'It's not about the shorts, it's whats in them that matters'.. Also as a Chelsea fan may I say what a great manager you have in Stevie Coppell, Its easy being a manager with money like Avram and saf,but to do it on a shoestring shows real class.

"You think you've got away kit problems? How about Chelsea's? They look like a bunch of traffic cones...."

Yes but the great thing about traffic cones is that they are easy to spot!

All credit to Chelsea as well for grinding out " quality " grade A white powder as well.

Pretty much lost me there, Must be a cryptic Irish observation on the state of Modern football?.. or twaddle of course.

Firstly the kit's mostly black - well, charcoal grey - so the Man U excuse won't stick. Secondly, we've hardly worn it, only when away to a team with mostly blue in their shirts.

Black away kit:
(Swansea League Cup 1-0 AET)
Portsmouth 4-7
Blackburn 2-4
Man City 1-2
Birmingham 1-1
Chelsea 0-1

That's five of 12 away league games. Record W0 D1 L4 F8 A15 1pt. For the blue & white hoops away, it's W0 D2 L5 F8 A18 2pts - hardly any better in terms of points, and goal difference is worse.

Because you have good players to cover other players missing, doesn`t mean the team isn`'t depleted doh

Try looking up what the word means before you talk crap, then you can join our reality where we know what we are talking about.

My Blue Heaven
------------
Not a subtle person are you !
The point is that for clubs like Chelsea saying you have a 'depeleted' team is meaningless. It's the sort of thing people say either to console themselves when they have lost or make a win sound better.
When you have bought dozens of world class players the term 'depleted' loses any meaning which it may contain in your dictionary.
Your team last night should, if it played every week, comfortably finish in the top 3. It's a sad fact and one of the reasons our footballis in the state that it is that clubs like yours can afford to corner all the talent and leave the rest of the clubs out of contention for honours.

Graeme Murty is right!

Chelsea always grind out results, when they should be winning easily!
