Hutton money

Rangers

1st of all can I say well done Murray you bloody loon. Selling one of our best players for this kinda money is, I suppose, acceptable but giving the manager till thursday to spend the money is poor.

We could have potentially £12m to spend on another striker and a top midfielder. But we only have a few days to get it right. Sure WS will have his targets etc but transfers seem to last forever these days. I pray and hope we dont end up with a duffer of a dead line day signing...

Who should we spend the money on then? Luke Moore? I want an attacking midfielder personally. Someone who would make the team tick and take the game by the scruff of the neck if ever our captain got injured. Got no names though...

"Anyway, lets not turn this into some ridiculous England v Scotland bore-fest."

Think you should have a word with the eejit who is making out the EPL is some kind of wonder league - results in the Champions League speak for themseleves:

EPL v SPL

Played 6
Won 3
Lost 3

(above based on 3 last games involving SPL & EPL teams in the Champions League - if we were to bring in UEFA cup results the results would be decidedly embarrasing for our English cousins)

Not exactly the trouncing of a weak league is it?

Good Luck Alan. Just remember: 27 years since they won anything, 47 years since they won the league. White Hart Lane really is a Lane Stadium.
The weather is better, the traffic is c**p,the people unfriendly, the crime abysmal. What the hey you'll have money to spend and when you're not playing you can always nip over to Emirates to see some decent football.

Give us a call when you get bored, fed up and homesick, you know the way home.

Walter: stick the money in your pocket until someone decent is available.

Look Fizzoid, the English youth Setup is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Don't try telling me that these players that have been mentioned are great English prospects."

I suggest you actually read my postdoh It was mentioned that in regard to Jonathan Woodgate being overrated, it's the English that over rate their players, yet as I said, one of his biggest fans is actually Alan Hansen

I think its quite clear that Rangers are taking a step back out of the champions league... selling our best player and replacing with the likes of daily? Rangers should be signing high quality youth players or at least give the youngsters a chance! How did hutton get to where he is now?! As for the money it was about right his performances in europe, the league and internationals is astounding! Spurs are onto a winner!!

shearer Daily is purely for cover I will be surprised if he even plays.

Whittaker was bought for right back cover for Hutton. Whittaker will now play there (as last night)and from the last few games he looks able on the left never mind the right (natural position)bak slot. ok

OK, Fizzoid, fair enough, Alan Hansen is a big fan of Woodgate. However, not everyone agrees with what he says. Also he often says things to appear neutral in front of the English public. I remember seeing a game where England scored and after the game they showed a clip of the pundit room when England scored. The only person not cheering and clapping half heartedly was Alan Hansen. My point is he puts on his neutral face as it's his job and not to offend anyone.

"The clubs are intellectually and financially committed to producing home-grown players," said Premier League spokesman Dan Johnson.

I just had to laugh at this. Pure comedy. Is that why Arsenal seem to have nothing but foreign younsters in their youth setup. lol

"£9m is a great deal for all concerned though and I wish Hutton all the best. You watch him tear down the wing against Man U at the weekend and you'll see"

See What. Ronaldo scoring his 30th goal of the season with Hutton trying to mark him.

Hutton will not be leaving Rangers.

His Fiancee is 2 weeks away from giving birth and does not want to move anywhere and wants to stay in Scotland.

I love it when people 'know' these things
