Tindall extends Gloucester stay

English Gloucester
comment on the article

England centre Mike Tindall has signed a new three-year deal with Guinness Premiership leaders Gloucester.

It means the 29-year-old, a World Cup-winner in 2003, is set to stay at Kingsholm until at least 2011.

Tindall said the emergence of a new generation of talent was central to his decision to stay.

"There is so much we want to achieve as a group of players and I want to see this job through. We have only really just scratched the surface," he said.

Gloucester fans, good news I'm guessing, surely he's just the man to help bring on your youngsters?

An expert in the Hospital pass, running poor lines, inept decision making, running up cul-de-sacs,blowing overlaps etc.
Perhaps one of the most overrated players in England!

Being a STH in the shed for 4 years now, i've not only watched him at Glaws, but the odd game when he played for Barf. When Tins signed he was in terrible form, unable to string any sort of performace together at all. But since 2007 he's been in excellent form, with storming runs, quick hands, an understanding of the game, taking high balls that would seem impossible and then still shrugging off defenders. At the age of only 29, his experience is vital, and Tins is sure to be a popular leader in Gloucesters back line for years to come.

And to add, I think he should have been named England captain, atleast he can hold down his shirt. Vickery is a pathetic leader for England, he's in terrible form, he's dirty (2 citings in as many months is dispicable for someone who should be setting an example at international level) and Barf's matt stevens is by far a better scrummager and around the field.

Vickery was destroyed in the scrum yesterday against the 24 year old Nick Wood, who's been picked for England A. If Vicks can't handle him alone, how's he allowed to captain his team and even play... against world class scrummagers?
